I hope not, I just invented a silly name in the DA one day, wouldn't want it to go anywhere else.
No thank you Turkish, I'm sweet enough.

So, DA squads are now linked to MA?

Most are, it's fashionable and daft to land kills in the DA.

I'm in a different squad in the DA than in the MA.  Don't recall the name as it seems to change from time to time.

So, no.  They are not linked.

There only linked if the CO creates the squad in both arenas.

The Dueling arena is linked to the other arenas now.  As the use of the dueling arena is for dueling, it really did not need to have its own squad table.

Ohh, It was making it easier for a bunch of guys to find each other and communicate.  Any chance of putting it back?

Ahhh, the Cyberbullies....hehehe :rofl

Pond Scum, Pickers, HOers, gangbangers....Its curious to see how judgemental folks can be about a game...it feels like some folks are getting some Freudian childhood revenge..."the cool kids" are in the MA, etc. etc etc.  People learn to fly and enjoy the game differently....who cares why because that isn't up to any of us.  It seems to me that any noise about where and why people fly is unecessary...let people enjoy the game how they enjoy the game...this game isn't that important and most of the opinions are unsolicited and small...

Thank goodness.  I couldn't see why squads existed in the DA anyway and think any and all squad affiliations should be checked at the door when you enter the DA.

What's the chance of taking the next steps with the DA and getting rid of the names in lights and the scores in there?

The people that fly in furball lake are no different to the MA. This idea that because I fly MA I'm better is bull. I see the same things that would be considered 'lame' in the MA all the time the only reason you notice it more in furball lake is because its a smaller space and you only have one base to retreat to and because of this these 'lame' things will happen a lot more often.

Proportionaly I can see the roughly the same type of players at different skill levels as the MA.

FLS,

No sir....judging one's skill, intent, and motivation based on what arena one chooses to fly in is boorish and small IMHO.  Squad affiliation had nothing to do with my post but I suspect you knew that already.  The people that fly in "squads" in the DA have no heartburn over this issue as most of them were in squads for comraderie and friendships.  In other cases they, me, choose to spend more time in there than the MA simply because I don't want to spend more time flying than fighting...the fight is always on your doorstep.  The doorstep, if you will, in most cases in the MA is taking off from a base that is capped and about the time you get to 1000 AGL, you get a backside full of 20 mike-mike's in your keester.   If you are smart, you leave from a different base to get there....long flight.

My point is everyone is entitled to their opinions and this place has no shortage of people exercising that right, but when folks begin to insert their air of superiority and classify people based on the arena they fly in is small.  Having your name in lights?   Who cares?  Why would anyone care about that feature of the game and moreover, why would anyone spend any braintime on trying to remove it or defend it?  To lesson someone's good experience in the game?  That's small....how does that affect anyone negatively?  Because the person that landed them brags or something?  Squelch um or fight um, lol...

There is nothing preventing anyone from forming a squad in the DA.  It will be the same squad in any of the main arenas as well.

No one is telling anyone how to play the game.  The DA has always been an optional arena, or an extension to the main arenas.

Oh the drama.  "MY WORLD HAS BEEN CHANGED!  ARRRRRGGHH!!!"  Get over it.  If this is all you have to worry about in life, how would you like to change places?  Sheesh.

Scores are still separate.  What also changed was the ability of players to come to the DA, cuss, swear, get privs revoked, go back to the MA change game ID's, and come back to the DA to repeat, ad infinitum.  When players start running new business away from the game, things will change.  Thank the community for it.

Oh yes, that also means if you lose your text/voice privs in the DA, you lose them in every arena.
