Upon spawning all GVs should be indestructable fo 30 seconds, then "IT'S ON LIKE DONKEY KONG"  :aok

I'd be happy with just a solid back wall for the hangers. I camp hangers myself, but I think it would be better if no one could do it.

Add that to "Aircraft with any wheel touching a runway cannot shoot or be shot" and "CV's cannot approach within 10k of shore" and we'd really be getting somewhere.

Hang on a second, you may have went a bit too far there.  If you add the wheels on the runway thing then how are we going to vulch?  Eh?

Don't forget the IRL factor here........  How many gun cam videos have we seen with planes "vulching" parked aircraft?  Pilot or not it happened all the time.

How about they beef up the airfields and vehicle Fields with anti tank guns, all they have are those maned ack guns that are a waste of time even trying to shoot accurately with them, there worthless. spawn camping VH hangers is gamey, i always see them in the indestructable hiding like roaches waiting for anyone to spawn in, its BS

What he said.......

Wanna go realistic?  Re-read above quote.

Ever do any "real" tanking, yourself?  It's not a boxing match where the opponents "duke it out" in the middle of a field.

It was/is all about (not a complete list)

1) Cover and concealment

2) Hull down positions

3) Hedgehog Defense

4) Fire and movement

5) Bound/Overwatch tactics

Other tactics such as Platoon fire (all tanks assaulting from different positions, but firing simultaneously) and platoon startup/shutdown (again simultaneously) as to hide their numbers so the enemy can't count how many attackers/defenders are there.

The tactics in the list are somewhat employable in AH2, but the last two items I mentioned are not as feasible due to lag, etc.

If you going for "real", how about instant repairs to your vehicle from supp that are dropped, turning down internal vehicle sounds to hear the other guy better or turning down graphic detail to see the enemy easier  (just for starters)?

It's your choice, and it's not rocket science.....

1) Once you realize that a spawn is camped DON'T KEEP UPPING INTO A CAMPED SPAWN (although the camper always appreciated a pelt dispenser)

2) Get a bomb and blow them to smithereens (which will make you a bomb tard, especially if you couldn't break the camp by using a GV, yourself)

3)  Get some buddies together and all spawn at the same time (the camper(s) can't shoot all of you at the same time)

Ahhh realism... he left out when your dead... delete your account.

Not a big GVer as I don't 'get it' but that sounds like quite a good idea.

Camping seems the same as score vulching I can't help wondering if HTC made an offline game were AI planes or tanks simply spawned and you shoot them would you still play that game?  :headscratch: because theres no difference between the 2.

I can begrudgingly accept the purpose of vulching in the case of a base capture, although I don't like being on the receiving end, it serves a purpose. Setting fields up for a score vulch, (deacking and taking down vh and fighters) only removes all means for participants to compete in combat against a real live person. Why not just go offline and shoot the drones or something, theres zero chance of them shooting back either.

If its the setup I mentioned I won't / don't up if fighters are up maybe depending on the situation.

as a dedicated GVer, I don't camp or spawn into camps. waste of time.

except the hanger camp. it might take a few spawns, but I will get him. runway camps can be fun tho.

Not really an issue.  Spawncamps aren't really that hard to break, unless Dr7 is there.  Don't even need to drop eggs, just use your head and effective tactics.  I can usually get off a spawncamp within 2 or so ups.

The problem with many of you is that you need to stop to shoot....if you perfect on the move shooting (Hint: certain tanks have inertial gun stability modeled realistically) you will find spawns are much easier to beat.  98% of GV drivers can't hit an tank on the move in a straight line under 2K distance in less than 3 shots.  Add liberal use of rudder to "steer" while in the turret shooting, and you become very difficult indeed to hit.

Move smartly to a spot that has cover, shoot, scoot.  Work towards flanking.  Use terrain.  Once one effective tank gets off a spawn, the campers generally get really antsy as they begin to see their friends die.  This allows your friends to up, as the bad guys are looking for that one crazy tank.

Most people camp by finding one spot and shooting from there until they die.  That always makes me laugh.... it is so much easier to kill them when I know where they'll be.

The usual problem is that once you kill 5 or 6, those that died show up heavy, and egg.

Or spawn.... bail then strip and streak around the field. They will be laughing too much to see the friendlies spawn.... they will die laughing.

Not that I hardly ever tank (or that I'm even remotely "good" at it) but the one thing I hate most about getting camped is that unlike looking around the tower before jumping into a plane, there's no way to check before you spawn in at a remote spawn whether it's camped or not.

Or is there?
