A1,A2,A3 in the Dueling Arena
« on: February 06, 2010, 09:19:48 AM »
There is no such thing as a Duel at A1,A2, or A3.  Most of the time it's a massive furball in the lake.

Wish: Make A1,A2,A3 use perk points like the MA to limit how many temps, f4c's, and f4u4's we have flying.
90% of the time I fly the f4u4 I love that plane but I would rather fly the ki84,f4uA, or F6F if we didnt have so many perk planes in the air.

I fly in the DA because my FR doesn't suffer and it's quite fun to be honest.  Leave all the dueling bases alone as they are and raise the mountains to 30k at the Lake.  There is around 150 players that play more in the DA then the MA and I know most all have agreed with me and these wishes.

Wishes: 1.  Change A1,A2,A3 to using perk points 2. raise mountains to 30k around A1,A2, and A3.

Two very simple wishes, Please grant them.

Thanks,

TnDep

another gripe of mine is the non flat terrain of the other fields.  23 - 24 is used mainly because it is flat for even merges on deck.

I wish some of the other fields be steamrolled the same way.  Maybe even remove all trees aswell they are dangerous   :aok

+1 to both statements

Bruv your right, you have to go to like 5k to be above the terrain to merge at E= :salute

I totally agree Bruv, I've noticed the same thing especially when your having to merge at a duel diving over a mountain immediately giving you a disadvantage.  If I'm at one of those fields I ask for a higher merge alt.  Would be a great change as well  :aok

You made me laugh.  I was practicing for the tournamant at furball lake in a P-47N for a couple of days.  I was a con magnet for Spits, N1Ks and Tempests.  It's like eveyone would drop everything to go after the lone Jug.  Of course I did press out to the doorstep of the enemy bases alone.  I was surprised at just how good a furballer the P-47N was with 25% fuel and the light gun package.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Ya people pick on 47s,110s,38s, and mossies don't ask me why.  I guess they get extra points  :lol.  47 is a nice bird and only a few can duel in it which makes it even better.  The M model is very sweet.

I think we just have to accept the lake for what it is, they are all good aircraft and there is always a heap of them the fight is on rather quickly and you have to have your wits about you if you go down into it. Never the less it is good training to avoid getting shot down by the horde. If its a duel you want got to 23 24. The lake is what it is.
No thank you Turkish, I'm sweet enough.

I'm pretty sure that the perks system is an arena based thing. If you have perks at the lake you also have perks in the duels.
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

I don't know about perking the rides because there is no way to earn them back in the DA.  Can't stop guys flying what they want, Temps/Typh/Spixteens/F4c's etc..
The DA lake is what it is.  Fly what you like.
I get what TnDep says, I love the A6m2 but don't really stand much chance against the late war birds unless I can get them low and turning but then I get a head full of cannon from a (normally perked 500+mph BnZ picker).

Would a small AvA lake work in the DA?  Historically more accurate.  There never seems to be anybody in the AvA arena, but maybe a small section of the DA could work for it.
Just my 2pence.

As for the terrain request  from Bruv119  +1

Without a functioning perk or ENY system, it's kind of meaningless to restrict rides. There will always be an uber ride for any set of planes. Take out the Tempest, Spixteen, 4hog, Chog? There's still the Spit8, N1K, Ki84, and 109K4. Take thouse out? There's still the 109G14, 190D, 47M, etc...

I was thinking about say... EW, MW, LW sections of DA furball lake? But if we take the current arenas as any indication, everybody will flock to LW anyways...
