I'm not a fan of how they make the super bowl pre-game/half-time show so happy go lucky/family oriented. But I understand why they do it.
On a side note, why have pre-game shows become so long and fairly stupid. I think ESPN was running 6 hour pre-game shows for their MNF games. Is there that much to really talk about for one game? And more isn't always better when it comes to commentators. I don't need 6 guys sitting at a huge desk just repeating sports stats fed to them my statistic jockies and then them spewing their non-sense.
The only commenatators/writers I really enjoy (at least in football) are:
Dan Patrick
Peter King (for the most part)
Dr. Z
Rich Eisen
Shannon Sharpe, Warren Sapp, Michael Irvin, John Madden, Troy Aikman, Joe Buck, Jim Rome, Colin Cowherd, Steven A. Smith, Jimmy Johnson, and a few other no names I can't think of off the top of my head. Please DIAF.
