Dueling arena ettiquette belongs in the dueling arena, in the MA's, I don't think you have a reasonable expectation of privacy in a dogfight to be honest. Yeah it sucks, but that's why HT provided us with a dueling arena. In the MA, if it's red, it's a target and fair game.

Oh but it goes on in the DA just as bad as the MA! Yesterday i popped in to the DA for a little action and low and behold i see a Tempest friendly(go figure) giving a Spit 16 (go fiqure again) all he could handle. Well an F4u-4 (do i need to say it) saddled up on the friendly, I give a check 6 to said friendly and saddle up of the F4. The so called friendly breaks from the Spit and drops on in behind me and starts shooting over my canopy for the "12" clear. He kills the F4 and the tells me he appreciated the check 6 and off he went to land his 5 kills! Ill no better next time!

You can call it whatever but you shouldn't count on people staying out of a fight in the MA.

who says I count on people staying out of a fight? or my fight? that others or myyself might be in?
If I see 4 lame dweeby lemmings come jump in front of me while I am trying to finish the engagement, that I had just acquired the "6" of my opponent...... I'll just pull off and let them be dweebs, maybe with a little courtesy coaching of why it is unwise to do such a thing......

One can only help & coach or teach people....... but they can not force anyone to do anything.... and it is up to each individual to decide what type of player they want to be thought as or thought to be in the end........

either a Good Sportsman or a Bad sportsman........ The community will decide for them.....
"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC

i always ask before engaging in anothers fight..........and rather confidentially, when i ask someone to stay out, they do.

If a guy on your country is on the "SIX" of a Red Dot and FOUR other countrymen jump in and shoot the poor reddot down going from a 1vs1 engagement to a 5 vs 1 engagement after the 1st of the five had already acquired the red dot's 6 position...does not in no way constitue "Dueling Arena Etiquette".....

it does however constitue complete lameness and dweebry of the 4 chumps who jumped on to make a congaline ......
