Yes, I agree with said statements about the I16....However, more important than the perk rewards and the attention u get from enemies that underestimate you is the way the engagements go.

I fly planes at this level of ENY because the fights are more realistic to me.
With the Hurri 1 for example u may have to make 2 or more passes on an enemy to get them killed. Adds to the fun and makes battles more realistic.
Any moron can unload 8 50 cals or a volly of cannon rounds at 500 knots, but it takes skills to give urself the disadvantage in power, weapons, and speed.

Some squaddies took up I16s and brews in the DA awhile back. We had a lot of fun in those little things.

We actually hosted a brewster/ il2 raid on the strats one night too. That is the night Grizz's 152 ho'd corky's brewster. It was a run for just the fun and nothing more. We had a lot of laughs.

i actually got kills in the 39D just last night...wasnt easy

yes, we should show some love for the D11 and the 38G

these are my personal favorites for intercepting carrier attacks

the 38G will hold and maintain a decent airspeed in the 3000ft MSL level below puffy ack when a CV is offshore

i cant say the same for the D11...but if your patient enough to extend every pass or two in a airbase vs CV battle, then it is all worth while

despite the disadvantages of the view and power in the D11, in my opinion it surpasses manueverability of any jug at any fuel level.

you'll have a good chance against fm2's, seafires, and zeros on the deck if u have reasonable skill and speed bult up
