Hurri 1 for the win..    Biggest problem is getting out.    The other day i was by an enemy base with a few other guys and ended up on the tail of a 109 but by the time I had finished with him I found no other friendlies anywhere and a massive cloud of red.   I managed to shoot 2 more down while evading may attempts by the red guys to poke hoes in me but in the end I think I pissed them off real bad because I felt like a toy poodle surrounded by pit bulls and Rots. No matter where I turned some one was zipping buy letting off a few rounds and in the end someone managed to HO me lol.

  Most of the time though I find it amazing at just how many guys it takes to kill a single Hurri 1 and always find myself laughing at them needing 5 or 6 guys on an old ride like that.

i suggest you dont go there cuz those ARE my hotrods   haha and yeah i admit the yak9u aint a 30 or higher ride but that baby is my true love. go above 15k and even P38s have trouble out flying you. i even out flew a jugm in a climb fight for 6k feet before i killed him

Obviously the 38 driver was not adept at the 38 then.

P-40E, C-202, F4F-4, Yak 9-T, 109F-4  are my favorites in this category. The C-202 is pretty and fun to fly, BUT the endless assists get tiring. I did manage to land a two kill sortie in one this ToD though. The Yak 9-T a challenging sleeper---just don't squeeze off the 37mm until d-200 and it can be fun.

oh yeah, i will have to disagree with showing love for the 109f4...not that it isnt a good airplane, but that it can only fly in fighter mode

which is a crock,  it could carry an egg and had wing options which it used to have in the game.

shhh. no need to kill my happy place! and maybe it was 20k cuz i dont remember. the jug pilot was pretty smart though. flew it well at 25k and got my oil b4 i killed him

Sames goes for the C2. Don't fire til you have a kill shot. Takes a solie 2-second burst (or more) but if you get in close the guns pack more punch and do more damage. Think of it like a Hurr1... You hit at 150 it takes half a second to kill a target. You hit the same guy 400 yards out you can tickle him all day because your bullets lose most of their impact at that distance. Something similar happens with the C2.

I landed 12 kills in the MA in a c202, one hotpad midway (wasted half my first sortie's ammo on a lancaster that I never got a kill for). Long ago, back just before the arena split. Doubt I could do it again, it was just a different arena situation back then.
