Anyone got JU88 climb rate data?
« on: September 21, 2000, 05:24:00 PM »
The JU88 sure is a slow climber, but I saw one site listing initial climb rate of 1300 fpm fully loaded, unlike the .85-.9 we have now.

Anyone?

I wish that Pyro would check this and tell us if AH Ju-88 is correctly modelled for that.

Any Finns here have "Lentäjän Näkökulma 4"?  It has the needed stuff for the Ju88.  I don't have the book.

Here is a website that sells, German language manuals & other resources for WWII German Aircraft, Engines, and some Weapons.

There might be some information on the JU-88 you need there.

If you get any of these tell me if they're any good, I would love to see them.

Great Chart Staga, and if I read this correctly does AH model a 1940 vintage Ju-88?
I thought the A4 was a 1942 model. I guess we can't give the LW anything too dangerous to fly.

Climb:initial climb (A-4) 1,312ft (400m)/min

I don't see any indication of weight or engine settings, etc. there...

But the AH Ju 88A-4 must be undermodelled, yep.

They also forgot to add 13mm option for A-4.
Late production model of A-4 had 13mm and those existing A-4s made with all 7.92mm guns, had field conversion kits to get 7.92mm replaced with 13mm.

But well, I think it is too dangerous to give 13mm for them.
