I will agree that Army overall has more POS in it but the thing about the Infantry in the Army is we have to do other jobs as well. I can set claymores, preform first-aid(I am CLS qaulified), fire a heavy weapon(mortars, javellin, 50 cals MK19),drive and operate APCs(Bradleys, Strykers) work paperwork while not in the field. Im almost positive Marines have like sub categories of Infantry, riflemen, grenadiers, heavy weapons...we are expected to be able to do these things at all times. I dont know much about the Marines but the only thing that gets me pissed at them is they try to make themself sound better then they really are. Infantrymen in the Army and the Marines are what win the fights, with support from other warriors.
Well, I'll let you do a little checking into that yourself because I firmly believe that you learn the best from doing your own research. I will say that Infantry in neither one does not necessarily win the fights, they'll win little skirmishes but not battles. If that "support" is not there at some point, especially for as such of a large force as the Army, those battles do not get won. Just look at how everything has evolved over the past 20 odd years into a more hands off type of warfare with the use of precision bombing, UAV's, etc. Granted in the past, the foot soldier was pretty much the deciding factor in how wars were won, but now the times have changed.
How do you know most of those Marines aren't better than what they really are? Like I said before, have you gone what they have gone through? Have you seen what they have seen? Just the same they haven't what you have, and the swagger comes with that Eagle, Globe, and Anchor that they wear so proudly, it's something that's ingrained in us from Boot Camp.
Just remember, It's a sad dog that won't wag it's own tail.
Hijack over, hopefully someone has a few more funny posters to put up.
