Why has Zeke K/D=0.6

Could someone tell me plz why the Zeke is such an easy Kill?

How to fight against Zeke?
If im in a fast plane i find it very hard to catch the A6M cause of its turning ability.

Cause it is so slow and high speed handling is bad.

It is hard to kill a ZEKE if it is constanly turning, especially if u in a B&Z like the ME262, FW190 or P47.

But most of the time deflection shooting is the key to kill a ZEKE, dont try to follow him, estiminate were he will be, bring ur nose there and fire when u got the right angle.

Also the ZEKE is not very tough. If u fly i.e. a DHOG, the good initial turn rate of the HOG allows u to cut the ZEKEs flight path and let off a burst of 0.5 cals that normally shredders the ZEKE to pieces.

One other factor why the K/D of the ZEKE is so low is, that it is often used as last ressort base defender, due to its exellent flying time with 25% fuel. But such a base defender is often outnumbered and therefor his evasive move to one nme will put him right infront of the guns of another attacker. Or he is simply shot off the runway when he tries to take off.

Hurri IIC kicks Zeke +)  ermm so long as the Zeke doesn't BnZ the hurri.  (Zeke is faster, climbs better...)

Does anybody have an impression yet on the flat turn comparison between the Zeke and Hurri II? Just curious, because the Hurri seems to roll and turn on a dime.

Also the Zeke is one of them planes everyone takes off from a Carrier in, ie doesnt make it back to land or try to  :P

I suspect most people dont fly the Zero as it was intended to be flown. I wonder if the Japanese Aces were at treetop level yanking stick in endless circles.    ;)

Yep, this game rewards speed, guns, and more speed.  Zeke has none of these and it dies over and over.

My understanding is in real air combat speed is life and the faster plane should win if flown right. That's why the the mustang did well in Europe (was faster then 109,and 190 for the most part) and the F4U and P38 did well in the pacific ( faster then the Zero).

So if the faster planes do well here, thats the way it should be.

slower plane can't kill a faster plane. In case this happens the faster plane's pilot screwed up.
