WW1 Arena Observation
« on: March 10, 2010, 09:35:53 PM »
Love the new arenas, tons of fun!

Seems like the Pilot Wounds don't use the red outs, but black outs...  Would personally prefer the red out...  Just picking nits here...  Tons of fun so far!

Pretty sure it's a blackout in all the other arenas, you only get a red screen when you die.

You might be right, but the WW1 arenas lack the visual cue that the blood spattered canopy gives you in the MA...

The audio PW grunt is there, but perhaps too subtle...

Yeah I haven't heard it, they may need to make it louder.

Going inverted is certainly an adventure. Many times I rolled my Camel over and I'm wondering if she's going to make it over the other side.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

There is sure to be refinements along the way...I agree that there needs to be some blood spatter or other signals you've got a pilot wound before you black out. a couple times I blacked out rather quickly and didn't get the cruise on. Also maybe a louder damage noise. I had a wing missing and didn't hear a thing.... Great Fun!!!

I think they have it right on the pilot wounds.  After all there is no canopy and it definately makes me pay attention to sounds a lot more now.  Maybe they could have some blood on the gauges but for it just coming out, I think they did a good job trying to touch on everything to allow for the smallest amounts of fixes later.

D&*^ you Hitech!!!!!

 :noid :furious

Just kidding!

I knew you would release the WW1 arena when I was traveling and could not get in on the action early. I guess Saturday or Sunday will have to be the first day for me. At least I don't have to wait a full week.

Another observation.
With the way the engine works. people will definitely have to learn to use throttle management which I see can only help you in the WWII planes
