Possible FSO problems tonight
« on: March 12, 2010, 08:35:00 PM »
Gents,

Apparently the Special Events Arena's are still having problems with everyone getting booted.

We will run FSO on schedule tonight, but if there is an arena crash we will not attempt to set it up again, but postpone frame 2 till March 19th.

Please forward this to your squad members.

Just curious but is the problem possibly a result of people downloading the latest version and updates?  If so can the updates be turned off just prior to launch to free up any bandwidth problems?

yup boom

I have a great idea.  I know we had a full 2 days time after the release but next time maybe we should have a release the same day as the FSO. They won't mind if it crashes after waiting till 11 pm to play.   :aok
Those people that suggested that new version get released during the off week so we don't do a beta at 11pm est should be reprimanded.

The Final Battle has been moved back a week..

As we hit the RW in FSO tonight, the SEA1 arena booted all, and locked for 15 minutes.

Because of that, after CM discussions, the first frame of The Final Battle will be next Saturday.

We are sorry for the short notice.

 salute

Who did it?  Somebody bought a nuke to Greece and wipe it clean off the plant.  I am looking at the axis because i do not think the Greeks have that ability to build such a weapon.

At least we don't have to worry about either side having late orders this week.  :rock

Postponing the FSO is disappointing, but not really a problem.  I'd just as soon have HTC fix the bugs.   :salute

It is a shame it happened. Sorry about that gents. I know HTC will be working on it this week, if not this weekend.
