BISH NOE @ Crystal Beach, Texas

Quote
Broadcast reports in Houston say a pilot buzzed the beach in Galveston County recently. According to KHOU's Jeremy Desel:

The Federal Aviation Administration confirms that it is investigating the incident after receiving a number of complaints, including one from the Galveston County Sheriff's Office. It is a federal violation to operate a plane lower than 1,000 feet in a populated area.

Eric Nunez tells the station:

"He actually went beside a couple of Jeeps with his wings I'd say less than 10 feet. It got my attention. Some people hit the ground. Nobody knew what to expect."

KHOU also reports that the plane's owner is in Beaumont.

Hehe, it makes for a fun video, but obviously it's entirely irresponsible and reckless.  Hopefully they find out who did it and revoke their pilot's license.

I just read a story this morning about a guy that got hit by a plane while jogging on the beach, it said he had his IPod on and never heard it coming.

Crystal Beach aka "The Red Neck Riviera", i haven't been out there in years because the morons that have managed to avoid winning the Darwin award that flock to that place.

Thought you were going to have pics or a vid of the B17, Jug or one of the otherplanes from the Air Museum low over the water, always a cool site.

Granted it was completely against FAA regs, but if they think that was dangerous and they were going to die, they would have pooped their pants when 2 Navy jet trainers buzzed us at Lake Texhoma on 4th of July a couple years ago. Those guys put on a great show for about 5 minutes before they bugged out.  :rock

Had a T6 Texan buzz us a few times on Ray Roberts, gave us the wing waggle and everything. Not as cool as jets but it made my day. :D
