Last weekend I went to the CAF airshow in Brownsville Texas.  There were 2 zeros, a Kate, a C-47, a T-6, and a B-25.  For the 30 dollars I spent to get the wife and myself it was ALMOST a waste of money.  They did have Paul Fiala who always puts on a great show, and the Aeroshell Flight tean in their T-6s.  That was ALL.  I remember when the shows in the valley had 100's of Warbirds, and people came from all over the U.S. to see the show.  It was really depressing.  To go along with that the FAA was there, with a folder that was a foot thick with ramp slips, glad I did not fly in.

I saw the checkered P-51 fly out of Georgetown Municipal Friday afternoon. Didn't know where it was heading, but cool pics!

Excellent photos! - I think the Phantom is my favorite jet.  I've seen it flying a few times and it is a mean machine, like everyone else says, the sound is awesome.

More like an old Harley :) .. huge oil slick where it parked every day, bottom was *not* tidy whitey ..
..especially the D's ..lotta boot marks up high on the tail from swingin a combat boot by the laces
up there to 'reseat connection' on the aft ECM rx ..among many other 'things' .. LOL.

When they come right at you at tree-top level, you don't hear em till they pass you, ..the sound volume just about takes your breath away ie: 'sneaker' over the crowd pass the T-birds used in the F-4's :)

One funny thing in these vintage prop plane/s with modern age jet plane/s formation pictures is the AOA angle difference.

I bet the jet noodles are screaming in their mind: "OMG! FASTER!".

Those phantom pics are great, thx for sharing!

Any chance you could put up full-resolution versions somewhere?  I'd like to put a bunch of those in my desktop screensaver folder at work.

All I did with these was take em off the camera, upload to photobucket and post here. If someone could tell me how to do it I would be more than happy to.

Yeah lol You could really see it when the F15 was in formation. Those eagle drivers were having a heck of a time! What they did that
weekend was all take off, form up, make several passes up and down the runway swapping spots so all the aircraft
spent some time in each position. Then they would loop out and make a final pass over the stands, pitch out left/right about a thousand feet
and do a quick roll, then come right for final. When the f15s went to roll you would see the engines light up as they pushed
the throttles up a for a few seconds, then they would wallow through the whole maneuver lol. They just had enough speed to make it and look
good doing it. Was cool to see them do that so slow.

Your photobucket album seems to be private?  I don't know much about photobucket but when I tried to view your profile it wanted a password.  You might be able to make the album public, but I don't know enough about that.

I know with flickr, the free accounts only let people see resized versions of the originals, but a pay account upgrade lets visitors download the full image in the original size.

I will try to get that sorted tomorrow eagle...

Here is one of my favorite pictures. I didn't get a chance to speak to him as we were getting chased off the tarmac and they were getting ready to do an interview in front of the A-1. I managed to snap this pic on the fly and I hope he doesn't mind me posting it. The big yellow letters of The Proud American stands out on that dark Camo paint, this gentlemans silhouette with his bright shirt (he was smiling right before I took this photo) and if you look in the cockpit you can see a folded American flag. A pretty cool picture...

**Edit. His name tag read Bill Sparks and his shirt reads 357th Fight Squadron.
