We are not pre-ordering food this year. There are grills on the grounds.
We are cutting costs by 25 bucks and this year having "potluck"
cookout. All are welcome to the cook out but, no one is obligated. We
would like everyone to bring something (see list). Same for drinks feel free
to help yourselves but, please add to the supply (see list). Everyone
pitching in together will help save any out of pocket expenses for us that
plan this event and eliminate the party fee we had in the past for all of
you. If you see something not on the list you want to bring let us know
and we will add it. We want to avoid shopping for everyone so please DO
NOT hand us cash. For example if you were going to donate about 15
bucks towards food make it 10 bucks and use the other five for gas and/or
ice. If you have any questions/suggestions in regards to this plz let us

There are exactly 6 cases of beer that are brewed, fermented, bottled, labeled, packaged and ready to take a trip to DrD1gr next Wednesday and ultimately to Dayton.
A WORD OF CAUTION!
Due to a fatal design flaw that is too late in the game to reconcile (remember, I'm not a professional brewery, have never labeled any of my beer and subscribe to the notion that bottling is the LEAST favorite part of brewing for me) the labels do not react well when exposed to enough water to saturate them.  The ink will not run, but if they get wet they become soggy and turn to mush. Activities such as jamming them into a cooler full of ice and the later on, rooting through the cooler will scrub the labels right off.  
However, all is not lost.  In an effort to preserve the integrity of the labels I have also packaged each individual bottle in a zipp-lokk style sandwich bag (intentionally mis-spelled to avoid copyright infringement). This is so they can be iced down and enjoyed without destroying the labels as they are tailored specifically for this event and I hope that you would like to save your bottle to take home as a memento.
I am also putting this same caution warning on the boxes that they are packaged in, just to remind you guys.
I hope that you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them for you all.
(Hope to see you next year in which case, I'll be bringing kegs     )

well looks like this year won't be like last year.  It was actually cold last year at the airshow if you can believe that. 
Hoping for sun and puffy white clouds, great for picture taking.  Only wish I had a 400mm.  I'd even take a manual focus.  Alas, this is far too rich for my blood.

okies, it is saturday and the funeral and stuff is behind me. now its time to concentrate on this crazy weekend we have coming up next week! SGY has done an awesome job with this even though shes got TONS of things goin in RL also. THANK YOU SGY!!! i will call you tonight sometime and touch bases, i lost signal yesturday when i was talking to you and then shortly after that i had to leave my sisters house and head home cuz i had to work today. anyways...hopefully we can sit down and chat for a few mins *even though i know a "few" mins convo isn't how we roll* *grin*

We will be rolling in on Thursday.  Kinda have too since I'm bringing Betty's tent.

I talked to Havoc yesterday.  He is having computer issues so he may not chime in here for a while.  He is planning on buying a couple garbage cans to fill with the beer. 

Most of the beer is going to be in cans.  Havocs dad has been in the hospital for quite a while and he is requesting that everyone pull the tabs off the cans an we will have a place to put them.

i did talk to havoc on the phone the other day but my mind was going in a million different directions and can not remember what he preferred. i would have to agree with chef on this, cans would probably be the best way anyways, no glass to worry about getting broke

Havoc should be giving you some beer for me chef. Anywhooo, I plan on trying to get there on Wednesday sometime. Going to the Casino in Biloxi tomorrow, Ortho appointment Monday in Mobile. Was then going to go to Dallas, Georgia and pick up BiPoLaR however, BiPoLaR has yet to return any messages, respond on the boards or respond to PM's in over a week. SO, I MAY NOT BE PICKING HIM UP IF HE DOESN'T CONTACT ME SOON! I may even be up there as early as Tuesday but, need somewhere to go to fly in a race Tuesday night in SEA I. If I'm not picking up BiPoLaR, I'll stay at home to race then head out after that. It will put me up there Wednesday sometime or very early Thursday. Note to all: If you like music and movies, bring an empty 1 to 1.5TB SATA HDD with you.

I did still manage to get just a few Mardi Gras beads to bring. I will be making "Atomic Chili" again. Bringing everything with me to fix it. Not bringing any glow sticks but still have a place to hang them if someone decides to. Hooch, isn't that a magnificent sky?
