Self defense.
« on: April 10, 2010, 10:38:56 PM »
We're not allowed to shoot bombers wile we are on the ground I understand not wanting people to defending bases just by upping bombers and sitting on the runway. But I want to get in the air with a B-25h to clear a vehicle spawn when there is a furball going on, and I want to be able to defend myself when I'm going down the runway. So I propose that they let us use the gunners seats on bombers WHILE WE'RE MOVING not just in the air whether we're on the ground or not.

How about spawning a GV and bust it up that way?  Or perhaps up from a base that's not under a furball.

what about those few times ur uppin bout the time some vulcher decides to shoot up the field decides to get you. in those rare instances would be nice to be able to shoot from the ground, would give vulchers something to think about too.

I was going to say...maybe not at 1mph...because then some people would go 50 throttle and hold brakes...how about like 321BAR said, 50, 60, mph?

Well I does take time to accelerate but 30 or 40 would do. and I knew this would come up, you hve to run out of field eventually  :D.

I did a little testing and it takes around 15 seconds give or take from the time press the button to up, til you hit 30MPH so 30 should do fine.

The best policy is not to take off from a capped field.

So who will defend the field if no one will up. you know...or maybe you dont its those few people holding out till help arrives that usually saves the bases. Seems to be the number one thing Ive heard "dont up for a capped field" sure if theres no way, got ya. but if these enough room to run off the runway ina la5 shoot down a goon and die ina violent explosion Ill be there every time  :D
because to me that's fun.
