Only 415 of the N1K2-J like we have in the game now were produced.  They were a good match for anything the allies had, except at high altitude (which explains their inability to effectively take on B-29's and such).  The reason there weren't so many was directly attributable to B-29 raids hitting the factories.  The B-29 also essentially stopped any major production of subsequent improved models and prototypes of the N1K series.  

So anyway, I vote for B-29's (probably perked of course)!
