If you think the MA is bad, the MW has it beat hands down. 

A certain squad thrives in there, since there is not enough people to fight them.  While I was in there as the only Rook, they were rolling bases on the Rook side, the other two that were Bish came over and we had at least a few to fight them, but that wasn't what they were intending on, a fight, so they went and stole an undefended base from the bish, until someone changed country to be a bish against them, then it was back against rooks stealing them as well.  This film was them noe'ing in lancstukas just after taking another base in the same manner.

This is what MW seems to be about, usually its against a side with 0 players on it. You cant switch sides fast enough to even have a fight with them.  Its probably why there are not many players in there when such a large horde like that has little or no effect from ENY, they say they have like 30-40 of them in there at times just rolling bases against the very few that is on in MW.    That must be fun.

The main thing that has cut the MW population by close to 50% has been the introduction of the WW1 arena, not the actions of any squadron in particular.  The squadron you're referring to has been doing this for quite some time and really hadn't affected the population numbers at all.  Once the WW1 arena came out, that is when you saw a dramatic decline in the MW population.

However, I do agree with you about how some squadrons operate.  It was the main reason why the 479th moved from Knits to the Rookie side because of the steam rolling/dog piling/milk running that was going on against undefended or the lowest numbered side.

Also, to be fair, the squadron in question can put up a good fight.  Sadly though, those members of the squadron that will fight are few in number while the most care nothing about a fight and would rather do whatever they can to avoid it.  It's also amusing seeing certain members of that squadron that couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag thump their chest and point to their score as a show of how good they are when it's clearly gained through manipulation of the scoring system rather than any skill, right biggamer?

Been there, done that.  Nothing more frustrating than actively trying to get a fight out of them, and they switch countries or countries they are attacking to avoid combat.  I say out them on the boards if they are going to behave like nancy boys.

they should just make an arena where you can only be part of one country, and the goal is to take all the bases of the other countries, where no one can up from and defend... oh wait... we have EW and MW... for that... 6 people on, 5 on one country, 1 afk.

had a nice fight w/ 'em yesterday in MW.

numbers were pretty much even on both sides and they kept dropping all the hangers at our base.

here we had a good fight going, nice and even numbers, and their whole focus was on stopping said fight.

sad.

you would think with only 20-30 players on they would appreciate a good fight as opposed to trying to capture a field at all cost.

While I have no way to track the numbers of players logged in I am able to establish a sort of "Activity Index" for the arenas. Which is simply the number of kills made per tour. (Which sounds somewhat reasonable to me as pure milkrunning and grabbing of undefended bases is not really "action".)

What I see in regards to MW is that the absolute kill numbers went down quite a bit, but the same is true for LW. Actually the relative share of MW has still been pretty stable, usually hovering between 5-7% of LW kills, and is now (tour 123) back to the same share it was before WWI arenas opened.

Wow tour 86 was the peek of the 'war'. I think as the numbers of players has gone up, it becomes harder to get a large number of kills. Horde on Horde action (sounds like a porn term ) for the vast majority means you get a few kills before getting killed because your SA fails you, etc... and most people can't keep track of 30+ independent targets at once.

No not SOARS & I did not know of any squad being banned from an arena before? Is that so?

No no, not officially... just got called out and reported on it so many times they left for MW is what I thought. I saw a couple comments about them being in MW and thought they'd stayed. Apparently it was too well populated for their tastes?
