Cant get online

open aces high, then click online and after about 2 seconds the whole screen goes black and a message pops up and says "aceshigh.exe has stopped working"

try offline mode. It may be the servers are down. At work so can't try it myself. :uhoh

Everything seems to be fine here.

Firewall?  Possibly driver related as well.

offline works fine. i tried disabling the firewall and getting online, still didnt work.

Has this computer ever run the game?  If so, remove the "video8.cfg" file from the games "settings" folder.  This will restore the default video settings.  After that, do the following.

1)  In the "Video Settings"
a) Set the game resolution no higher than 1024x768.
b) Set the "Maximum Texture Size" to 128, no higher.
c) Make sure the anti-alias slider is all the way to the left.

2)  In the games Options->Graphic Detail->Advanced panel.
a)  Make sure ONLY the "Bump Mapping" and "Detailed Water" options are checked.  NOTHING ELSE.

cant. the Verizon modem only has one plug it spot, and that plugs into the wall. everything with it is wireless.

As long as you know in Skuzzy's words..."if it's wireless, all bets are off". It could be any number of things not related to the game.

What does a tracert to any one of the server ip's show? Can you even ping them?

Did you or anyone make any configuration changes on that modem or your system?

Did you do a Windows update before this happened?
