When it comes to nascar fans and their favorite driver, they usually have the one they root for.  A couple more they like.  A few they don't mind seeing winning.  And then they have that ONE guy they can't stand!  If you ask who your favorite driver is you may get a couple of responses, but ask them who they hate, and you'll get just one!

Well, being as that the Burton boys are both from my hometown and the Sadlers from not too far away, I usually end up pulling for Jeff nowadays even though Ward was the better driver of the two just didn't have the team behind him like Jeff always did.  I've seen many many drivers cut their teeth on the track here, and have heard stories of many others in the past.  I've met Wendell Scott on many occasions and that man is hilarious once you get to know him.  If we're going to name a certain driver at this time it would have to be between Jeff and Junior, it's a close call.  If we're going all time that's a little tougher, when I was a kid I'd probably tell you Harry Gant but there are too many good ones to name.

Anyone mention David Pearson ? The silver fox.  Will never forget him and Petty wrecking outa 4 at Daytona going for the checkers.

Any Terry Labonte fans? I have an autographed insert card of his I'd be willing to part with for the right $.

My cousin has worked at Daytona International for over 30 years now.  My "collection" of classic Nascar Items is my retirement fund.  :D  I shutter to even think what some might pay for some of the items I have.

Not that big into the Cup Series anymore myself.  Like others here have posted, the glory days of the real sport are in the past.  Kinda reminds me of my favorite line from Das Boot "Look at these new heroes, all wind and smoke...big mouths..."

I pull for whoever is in the 43 car. (A.J Almendinger currently)  Fell in love with Petty's old Mopar's as a child, and it stuck...

My son, (RMrider in game) and I run a car here in NY, at the Albany/Saratoga Speedway, 4/10th mile paved bull ring and at Devils Bowl in VT. 1/2 mile high banked - being converted to asphalt currently. Those tracks make up the CVRA - Champlain Vally Racing Association.  We call em 358 Modified up here.  They originated as dirt cars, but all the tracks up here are asphalt or soon to be. We run in the Sportsmen Division.  Just way to much cash in the top Division for the type.  You know you are in for a rough night when guys are pulling into the track with 2 or more cars in their semi's with Budweiser or Sunoco on the side of the trailer...

Love auto racing, I wish NASCAR could find their roots somehow.

our ride ( last years colors )

Wow, common ground.

Hard not to like the Burtons. Even though Ward sounds like Foghorn Leghorn to me :D

MARK MARTIN.

PROBABLY the friendliest driver, and most deserving of a championship ever.

dale earnhardt, as i don't truly believe that there will ever be a driver as talented as he was, that actually is out there for the fun of the race(inaddition to the money)
