the ground game is good, but the air game is not so. plane icons show when your real close, and most of them fly a drag and bag style. very rare you'll find a good dogfight. oh yeah and to start out all get to fly is the junk rides. you need to achieve rank to fly the better stuff, so either A) struggle in a spit 1 vs 109f,g, 190a etc.... Or B) you fly a bomber and keep hitting bridges till you rank up. Next to no rear view, and if you run your enging at full power it will eventually start to knock, smoke and blow up.

if you're looking for a realistic war sim its good, but after AH i couldn't get into the air game they have. Also its all early way 39-41 i believe and you can be french english or german, no italy or US.

anyway Don't just take my word for it, check it out. The GV and ground troop model is pretty good, also you can up artillery guns like the 88 and AA, its good and its not, but a change of pace it definitley is.

Good Luck

ive been playing it sense 2001, like the above poster said the air game needs more work there flight models are no where near AH but the ground game is a blast and terrian is very well detailed, depending on your system you have will allow you to use all the eye candy, 2 weeks for free why not try it as a change of pace
