With both proposals havoc & chaos would break out. You would have to treat almost every friendly con as an enemy.
Every friendly that's flying around could be a n00b that suddenly shoots at ya or flies into you, because he can't control the plane yet. And even better, it would be wonderful for all the griefers. I can't stand you? No problem, I will gladly spend 10 perks to shoot you out of the sky unexpectedly when you are about to land your 5 kills. Even better when you are in a 262 at that time.

No KS simply doesn't work in an open free-for-all environment.

IAWTC. Friendly fire kills would work fine if there were no clueless idiots or terrible sports in the game - in other words, never.

The PNG status was country based. If you were flying for country C and fragged three friendlies you  could only fly for country A or B the next 24 hours.

As I recall png worked pretty well. I think I got it once or twice and both times by accident. Like I said previously, it made you (me anyway) more cautious when shooting around friendlies.

In addition to the 2 friendly kills in 24 hours to get PNG status, each friendly kill after the 2nd tacked on an additional 24 hours.

See you learn something new everyday. I never new that you got additional time added for each friendly killed after the first two.

Just enable friendly fire.  

For the most part it won't be a huge deal.  It'll solve the 15 v 1's that we see all the damned time.  

If I have to check *my* fire because some idiot dives in front of my guns because *I'll* get hurt, that's just BS.

Of course assign a penalty.  Maybe Perk points and a warning.  If you frag 2 (within say 12-24 hours), your score for the tour get's zeroed and your grounded in that country for 24 hours (this'll take care of any score potatos who take out friendlies to get the kill their countrymen worked so hard for).

But without kill shooter, the same idiot who was in front of you is now behind you killing you as he shoots at your target.  I mean, why not?  You die to friendly fire and he steals your kill.
