Scorers beware!

It occured to me, with the calliope on the M4, more people will have the patience to get the gv "special score" (damage hit %) that was previously only available by using a ptboat or sdk251... hence making that score category more competitive..  no more "1 rocket hit on a taskgroup from ptboat and it bumped my gv score up into the top 50!"

I expect a bigger impact on gameplay apart from that rather minor scoring thing.

The 75 might get the best town killer in game. 60 rockets + a very rapid firing 75mm gun. I just took one to a town to test it, and the results were quite impressive. Two or three (not to speak about the usual hordes) will chew up a town very quickly with a rain of rockets first, and then a rapid hail of 75mm HE shells. A Sherman 75 will shoot 10 rounds in 36 seconds, while a Panzer takes 54 seconds and a T34/76 82 seconds for the same number of rounds.

im assuming alot of people will miss most of their rocket shots in addition to the fact that the rockets are only 2.5 inch(so not much of a damage factor). so i dont really see the score value in this new M4 but all the same it looks like it will be fun to experiment with.

HTC is going to have to cease and desist with all these new toys for everyone if I'm to ever make it on the home page score dork list!
Just when I think I have the score thing figured out.....BLAM! They throw a new GV in to screw up my evil scheme!  

I'm going to be needing my own personal arena if this keeps up

Unlike the SdKfz with it'S fixed mounting, you can adjust your fire easily after the first rocket, and you can get much closer to town thanks to your armor & 75mm gun.

Wow..it's a milkrunners dream!

Did some more testing. I just flattened a town completely on my own in under 10 minutes. No rearm, no respawning, no buddy necessary... and I still had about 30 cannon rounds left

I have not found one in the wild yet, but are they easier to kill than a typical gv?

think about this;

once you are properly ranged, 48 rockets will take down a hanger in 19 seconds.

Each rocket on the Calliope had the exposive impact of a 105mm howitzer shell, so you're incorrect about "not much of a damage factor".
