Destroying gun emplacements....

If someone is manning a fixed gun emplacement (ground or ship gun battery), and you destroy it by bomb or strafing, do you get a kill credit?.....

You get points for the damage you do but no kills.

then people in guns should get perks and score for kills too...

People manning gun positions (say in ships) do get a kill credit for shooting down planes....

Yes we do.

Same as if you shoot down a plane (or destroy a ground vehicle).

They just don't count for score/rank purposes.

yea all we get is our stupid names in lights.. no score, no perks.

i think its a fair tradeoff as is.. gunners get names in lights, planes get damage points for their score.

Soft gun kills should count as a kill for the plane/tank that kills them for sure.  Specially in a plane, we are taking a risk in getting shot down trying to take out a maned gun just as we are in engaging an enemy plane.

 :x :x :x perfect solution to super ack CV monkeys!!! dont allow people to man the 5" guns until they have a certain number of credits for the 40mm and 50cals on the ships! same with the SBs. dont allow SBs to be used unless people have a certain amount of manned gun kills :aok

best way to earn GV perks is to capture a field for the lowest numbered team,   i'm talking 10-20 perks for a base cap or more.

Think High ENY rides, low number team.   I think the best GV run I dream't up was a jeep + supplies to an enemy airfield (all ack down of course)  and popped some LA7's spawning in on the runway,   base got taken landed 5 kills in a jeep =  60 perks  :D

OR... resupply a base that is severely damaged.  A base that has major damage can award 6+ perks each trip.  Each OBJ repaired gets .25 points, mind you that a "repair" point does not mean that it has to have been fully repaired either, you get the .25 GV perk points regardless.  So... if a base gets swarmed and 4 ord bunkers, 4 fuel depots, 3 barracks, the radar, and 6 auto ack all get blowd' up, a single run in with an C47, M3, SdKfz 251, or LVT2 with field supplies will award 4.5 perks (if the ENY modifier is 1.0).

Easy peasy.   :)

I remember a guy some time ago that camped a runway in an M3. He landed 13 kills and i believe he said he got 124 perks lol
