11 would be a very mild NOE mission. I could care less if a squad wants to get together and roll some bases with 10-12 of their squaddies. Its fun working together for a common goal.
What gets me are those 20-30 missions that are just unnecessary. They want the NO opposition. They want their cake and eat it too. It is annoying because they are dictating their gameplay is fun and having no regard to the other guys fun.
First off, I like 10-12 player missions better too. I prefer not to post missions at all. OTOH, if there's lots of opposition, a big mission is necessary. It all depends on the situation.
That being said, what I don't get is how so many people here think an NOE horde against an empty base is ruining anyone's fun or ruining the game. If it's an empty, undefended base, then by definition there is no one there to have their fun ruined. So they're doing something you think is stupid. Why do you let what other people do bother you so much? So it's impossible to effectively defend the base. Well, you don't care about taking bases or winning the war anyway, so why does it bother you? Do you lose sleep at night because some people like country music and you only like jazz? Are you all knotted up inside because you root for the Yankees but there exist other people in the world who root for the Red Sox? Same for Junky - if he doesn't like NOE missions why can't he just ignore them and fly somewhere else? The MA is big and has lots of people and I guarantee you there are other people to fight who are not in an NOE horde mission. You can have all the fun you want without being a total bunghole to people who play differently.
If my squad is taking bases and trying to win the war, I don't care if you're somewhere else on the map ignoring the war and just looking for 1-1 fights. Have fun however you like. But don't tell me I'm ruining your fun by not playing the way you like. If that's what you think you're just a self-centered little brat who thinks the world ought to revolve around you and your preferences. Which is a pretty good description of JunkyII.
