You have ejection seats already. Hit whatever key you have assigned to the bail out command 3 times, instant ejection even in a fresh plane. If you want some added immersion, stand up then hit the bail out key.

Thank you,yes you have mistaken a 12year old. Just an idea that my squad had voted on that they would like that's all but 4. They wanted this I agreed. fbWldcat if you had read more closely,I have already mentioned this is just an idea there might be bugs and complaints about this as well but more or less this is a request and this is a forums for request. Thank you Lusche I never knew any of that. :salute All

I was just saying, it sounded like you actually wanted an animation for when you jumped out, which could cause bugs. I didn't shoot down your idea, I just said that I think there are more important things to work on right now (patches, bugs, planeset, etc). I'm all for new ideas but not when there are more important things to deal with.

For the life of me I can't figure out how the addition of an ejection seat, in the few aircraft that apparently might have had them, will make this game any more real than bailing out as it works today.  And what bugs would there be?  Hitting enter 3 times and NOT bailing because your ejection seat malfunctioned?  Or perhaps just as you're about to squirt some lead at that con 300 off your nose, after a hard-fought dogfight to get him there, your ejection seat malfuctions and you're now hanging from your chute instead?
He is 12 years old. Think of all the silly stuff kids think of at that age. Also just the oh that's cool factor from a 12 year old mind. Let him slide if nothing else he will learn stuff about these things in game & on the BBS that he will never be taught at school.

Sorry if you thought I was being mean; not my intent.  I was just offering up my opinion and a couple of random "bugs" to add to the idea.  Still can't see how an ejector seat would act any different than how we already bail out.  If anything, when we hit enter three times, it should take a 15-20 seconds to leave the plane to simulate opening the canopy and trying to unhook your belts and climb out.  Then, for the ejector seat models, they would bail just like we all do today.

Really now it's just an idea after all. What's the big problem with having an ejection seat. Besides a couple people saying we don't need it,I think it's a fancy idea. Why not, well we don't need it and it's unneeded isn't enough of an answer now is it.

How about, "the aircraft in question was not equipped with an ejector seat"?

Good enough?

Already got them.  Ever had ANY trouble getting out of an aircraft, no matter what flight profile?  That's an ejection seat, pure and simple.  The performance curve is a bit unusual (works zero-zero, but has a dead zone after that) but so is Dale so it all fits together nicely.

I'm quite content to say I'm not a candidate for the Martin-Baker fan club...would have been an interesting ride, though.
