Lame.

Oh, and uptown, you are now my mortal enemy.

jk
:lol Rgr that! But now if they take Missouri out of the conference too, that kills a rivalry going back over 100 years. I just don't know what the NCAA is thinking on this whole mess. I never miss a Missouri/Kansas hoops game. Is that now over too?  :cry

Its all about the money, the Big Ten Network(B10 TV) is trying to get to 70 million TVs, right now their at 35. Texas and Notre Dame did hold all the chips but now its more of Texas holding all the chips. Texas can make its own conference and television network(Like BYU), but once you get Texas, you get its "little brothers" A&M and Tech. Not on the same scale but once you get Oklahoma you get Oklahoma State. I don't know why the Pac 10 wants Colorado. I don't see Texas moving into the SEC, more of a choice that I see is Florida State, Miami and Georgia Tech, but I do not see that happening.

It would be funny as hell to see Texas move to the SEC

Never happen...in the early '90s they snubbed the SEC along with FSU for whatever reason and the SEC went with South Carolina and Arkansas.

I don't believe that the SEC will expand into Texas at all. Current thought process is that IF the SEC expands you will see them going after the ACC schools to solidify the southeastern states almost 100%. IF that happens then look for these 4 schools to get invites first with the rest of these being backups. 1)FSU, 2)GT, 3)Clemson, 4)Miami; North Carolina, NC State, Duke and Virginia to get invites in case one of these others backs out of the initial ones. GT was a charter member of the SEC way back in the beginning and they bailed out when Tulane did years ago. It would screw up the East and West divisions of the SEC but that is just something they can fix easily.

Texas....never coming to the SEC because they don't want to get paid the same amount as everyone else in the conference and they don't want to be hammered week in/week out.

Im interested where Kansas and Kansas St. Basketball will go to, they will probably end up in the Mountain West but I don't see why the NCAA gives the Big East a automatic bid but not the MWC. Especially if Boise St. comes to the MWC, they could defiantly be a conference to look for.

Being from and currently living in Nebraska I'm a little torn with this. On one hand it's sad to know that KU, KSU, Mizzu and yes even ISU won't always be on the schedule.(i didn't leave colorado out by mistake either) I hope that these schools definitely find a good home. Oh well, at least since I'm most probably a bigger Pittsburgh Penguin hockey fan then I am a Husker fan then at least I can now have TWO reason's to go to Penn! Also, maybe with the Big 12 being gone...we can FINALLY get the NU-OU game back EVERY YEAR!

Beating up on Iowa every year is gonna be sooooo fun to watch :aok

i know that Texas would never go to the SEC.  Mack would stop it from happening.  Just have to wait and see what happens to the rest of the remaining Big 12 teams.

I'd say the rivalry goes back even further than 100 years, it was born out of conflict and bloodshed.

LOOK EVERYBODY!  I GOT MY NAME IN LIGHTS!

Folks, play nice.

Sounds like USC may have their 2004 season stripped and handed over to Oklahoma.

Actually, the latest has UT perhaps going to the SEC.  Which would mean there would be TWO UTs, both in orange and white. Whom you gonna hate now Bama, whom?

I did not hear anything about UT going to SEC but A&M is looking.  Baylor is trying to keep all Texas schools in the big 12 to stick together.  Heck, they might as well create there own conference, including SFASU and Huston.  They can call is "Big Texas Conference".  Missouri is looking in joining the Big Ten but that is only rumors.
