I did not hear anything about UT going to SEC but A&M is looking.  Baylor is trying to keep all Texas schools in the big 12 to stick together.  Heck, they might as well create there own conference, including SFASU and Huston.  They can call is "Big Texas Conference".  Missouri is looking in joining the Big Ten but that is only rumors.

SFAS isn't FBS, why don't they just bring in TCU and Houston if they would do that, which they won't I don't believe.

Kansas and Kansas St. fans will be the ones left out of this.

What they should do is take all the left behinds of the former SWC (Houston, Baylor, SMU, Rice) throw in UTEP, New Mexico, Tulane and UNT and call it the SUC 8.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Mountain West should be a BCS conference. You have Utah, Boise,TCU, BYU and probably end up with Kansas and Kansas State.

Sounds like USC may have their 2004 season stripped and handed over to Oklahoma.

The BCS will not have a champion for that season. The reason is you can't go back and replay between Auburn and Oklahoma. Auburn would have ripped OU apart about the same that USC did in that game. Only they would have done it WITHOUT paid players.

I agree that the Big East should loose their BCS bid but to give it to the MWC would just be stupid. The only team in that league...not even a current one...that has been to a BCS game more than once is Boise State. Boise should have gone to the Pac10; apparently that was on the table at one point; but they drug their feet from what I have read and now they are going to end up in the dregs of the world conference which is almost as bad as CUSA as a football conference.

MWC might be getting a little more stronger now that Boise State join.  TCU, Utah and BYU still are a tough opponent.

Figures Boise would pass on the pac10 well now its the Pac16

edit... after reading more looks like its going to be the Pac16 with the 8 original schools ( Wash, Wash st, Oregon, Oregon state, Ucla, Cal, Usc and Stanford will be in the Western division of the Pac16, Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Colorado. They'd reportedly join Arizona and Arizona State in a PAC-16 East division

Please the only thing that TCU has going for it is where it is located and they can scoop some players that slip by the big boys in the state of Texas. Other than that they aren't a powerhouse...haven't been in decades...Utah and BYU are the same way. Once in a great while they get a few gems on the recruiting trail but add in a few decent 1AA type players to help prop them up. The only thing helping Boise is there location in that it isn't easy to get to from anywhere and their schtick with the blue turf and having beaten a couple of good teams with a month to prepare for them. Once they get in a conference where they actually have to prepare for teams each week then we will see how good their coaches and players are. Odds are they get beat down a few times and they along with the MWC returns to irrelevant conference status.
