There seems to be the assumption that England players should bring their club form to international matches, however they only play that good for their club because they are surrounded by high quality foreign players. Sorry guys but you haven't had a decent team since 1996, I wish the English media would stop conning English people into believing they should be winning the world cup, high expectations like that can only lead to disappointment.

Really it looked like they thought the Algerians(French B-team) were going to be push overs. Makes me nervous for USA V Algeria.

It's apparent that you don't watch much football/soccer.   England is most often fielding a quality team.

You are the only one trolling here.

I don't think you understand the dynamics of a team sport.

Oh and just because someone disagrees with an assessment of yours does not mean a troll.

Really the last couple of months? I haven't responded to a post of yours other than today in maybe a full year.

I am not claiming to know it all, once again I disagree with you and somehow I am a troll.

they looked to be scared of making a mistake instead of taking control.

All their shots on goal seem like they are concentrating on just getting them between the posts. Not one has really had any heat on it and a lot of em seem to be a foot off the turf. I just looked like they are too uptight... havent found a rhythm yet.

No, the one that couldnt get England in to Euro 2008 and got the sack - it was a joke for the english peeps. He's a good club coach.
