Half of the aces high vids I cannot watch on youtube "in my country" because Sony or whoever doesn't want me too. I am sure they suffer huge losses from a dude posting an aces high clip with some music. Yes, that is it - why buy music when you can listen aces high vids for free? Damn pirates!

Considering 90%+ of youtube videos are probably less than 3 minutes, that's not really that big of a deal. When's the last time you watched through a youtube video that's longer than like 7-8 minutes?
Google is not a private company?

You can buy google stock, must be public.

Ads, huh? Haven't seen an ad on the internet in years. You ought to describe to me what those are like again.

Private = Companies

Public = Government Owned

Stocks DOES NOT = Public

You are mistaking publicly traded vs public. There is a difference.

If you video is informational you can contest the copy right and win every time.

the thing i cant stand about youtube now is all the ads all over the videos and having to wait for videos to load while being shown ads.

Just press that dang F5 button to refresh the page and skip them ads or type the comment " 0:01 " and then click on that (Won't work on powerful ads). While you are at it, read the comments or click the add itself to give the guy that posted the video a little credit money (which by the way is legal money). If you think Youtube is trash just because of the ads, you are deluding yourself, get used to the 21st century of Internet entertainment... or if that is not it, you are not searching well enough for quality content (what i mean by quality in Internet standards: not really high).
Think of it as watching TV but with a couple thousand channels for much lesser of a cost. Some guys get 15,000 to 30,000$ a month from this website's adds and make a life working full time out of it, respect that.

Forgive my temper, I'm a little bit pro-youtuber  :rolleyes:

Yup, and that explains a lot right there.. But youtube has become too big to ignore copyright issues..

This is funny.

Private = I own the company in it's entirety.  I control it.

Public = I have sold pieces of my company to the public in the form of Stock Certificates.  I am beholden to my Stock Holders, as they are also owners.

Nothing to do the "teh goverment".

You should take your own advice.   :rofl

Ah, so I guess the privatization and nationalization of industries has nothing to do with the gov't then.
Public health care just means that the companies are publicly traded.
Someone should have brought this up a couple of years ago.

I started using Vimeo recently and I prefer it to Youtube, HOWEVER, if you don't pay for a subscription, your video gets put on a waitlist to complete. Sometimes that will take 90 minutes, so if you're not in a hurry, Vimeo is the way to go.

The advantage of Youtube, in my case, is that my 52" Panasonic plasmas with Viera allows me to view Youtube on the plasma TV without being hooked up to a computer...with Vimeo, I have to hook up my laptop to the Plasma to show Vimeo videos I've produced.

Incidently, here is the USS Midway, which we toured in San Diego last week-end. Just a 3 min HD movie for fun.

 I don't upload video, but like watching informational videos with history. I have been starting to use liveleak.com. I will have to try vimeo.
