Saturday morning fishing trip...caught 7 others. Some a lil bigger and a some about the same size...Fished a lake i hadn't fished before...It's about an hour from my house and not real big....nice area and I had a good time. Took my boat and a guy from work came as well....he caught 7 fish....all in all it was a good morning of fishing and we had boated 15 when we decided that drizzle was enough.

Went to Elkhorn Creek today. Water is much too cold and much too swift to catch anything. Dark water and horrible conditions. Jigs, plastic craws, Rat-L-Traps, nothing could entice a smallie ot bite. Not sound or sight (Colorado and Willow blades, respectively) could get even a hit. I'll gie it two more weeks to warm up a bit more.
Landing is overrated.

ya we just got the first of the march rains here in western NC, the lake looks like chocolate soup!  they stock the trout in the river that feeds the lake in late march and the rains usually wash alot out of the river come April! thats when i really start fishing the lake and river agian! cause the white bass head up river to spawn!

We got beds poppin all over here...seeing males on them but the females are still not shallow yet. Weather is still got em timid. Water is warming but slowly....cold fronts every other day it seems like. one night its 55 at night and 78 the next day...then a front comes in and we spend 3 days in the lower 70's or high 60's and the nights drop back to mid 40's.

But it's not gonna be long....top water will be ON!!!.....females will be moving closer and game on!!!!

Still 12 inches of ice here. (More in some spots, less in others.)

My buddy and I kept 30 bluegill and 2 crappie today. (Released many small gills, 1 small nard, and 3 decent bass.)

On the days I bring the camera either A) We have scary adventures or B) we don't catch crap! lol  :rofl

No camera today.

Had a good day yesterday and an area lake...Caught quite a few with the largest being 4.5 pounds or so....The weather is getting so nice for the most part and spring is defiantly in the air.

Our creeks are still raging rivers, for now. I'm itching so badly, I've resorted to sharpening EVERY HOOK with a whet stone I found lying in my garage. STOP RAINING DAMBIT!!!!!  :bhead
