Nice Redtop!  :aok

Got into kayak fishing myself just last year and I love it.  Extends the season for me up here, while the boat is winterized.  Been watching the weather here, with this mild winter as soon as I get a decent weekend day I'm going to break out the kayak and try and chase down some steelhead.

Yeah I'm only a couple days into it...it is fun...Those bass can pull!!!!  LOL  We have 3 lil lakes near my house. All about 20+ acres. Ones is prolly 50 or 60 acres if not bigger. All of them are within 5 minutes of me and they all have some great quality bass. 10 plus pounders in them. I fish ALOT....just about everyday if weather permits...if not all morning until work time , I fish an hour or so right before work. Usually I'm up at 7 or so and to the water by 7:15 and fishing by 7:30....I'll spend hours on the water....run home...take a shower and head to work. Get home at 11:30 at night....bedtime...wake up and do it again. Springtime I'm at the water before daybreak for the topwater bite...fish til noon or so then home.

I travel to Lake Fork in east Texas about every 2 months or so and fish for 2 or 3 days with my best friend....he lives on the lake and we fish in my Ranger 21 ft Bass boat or his 21 ft Stratos...or his sons 20ft Skeeter....

I'm eat up with fishing....to much gear and not enough time!!!! :lol

Very very rarely.  That's maybe the second or third one I've seen caught in my life.  I should have got some better pics but it was colder than a grave diggers bellybutton in the klondike that morning and I wanted to get him back before he froze.

The Fisherman's Commandments
Thou shalt have no other sports before fishing.
Thou shalt proudly boast of thy catch.
Thou shalt exaggerate wildly about the one that got away.
Thou shalt not sleep past dawn.
Thou shalt clean thy own catch.
Thou shalt not give away the secret of success.
Thou shalt honor the ones too smart to be caught.
Thou shalt practice the sport as often as possible.
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's net.
Thou shalt give thanks to Nature for the catch of the day.
-Author Unknown.
Landing is overrated.

Just got back from Captiva Island in Florida.  Rented a boat there for a couple days and had a blast fishing the Captiva Pass.  Caught many different fish- grouper, snapper, bluefish, small shark, pompano etc...  Action was pretty much non-stop each time we would drift through the pass.  Best part were the dolphins that would wait at the side of the boat for you to release the fish so they could try and eat it.   :)
