Is it possible?  Have any of you tried it?  How did it work?

Why would you?  IE is much better than Netscape.

Besides, WinXP is the first version that allows you to do it.  In previous versions, IE was actually part of the shell.  Ever notice the similarity between My Computer and IE?  No coincidence there.

What's the difference?  If you don't want it, just remove the icons and delete the "Internet Explorer" directory.  Any more and you're just asking to be punished by the Mickeysoft gods.

SOB

hmmm...I just looked, and there seems to be an "IE Uninstall" directory in \\Program Files\Internet Explorer\.  Give that one a try sucker...I dare ya!  Then report back . . . if you can.   :D

Eradicator 2001 NEW!!!
Looking for the hit-man?  IEradicator is the first and only utility to remove all versions of Internet Explorer from all versions of Windows 95/98/Me/2000 in 8 different languages!.  IEradicator uses the built-in Windows setup engine to "rub out da big fella" in less time than it takes to oil your 12-gauge.
Hey Windows 95 guys - here's what you've been bugging us for!
FREEWARE for personal use!

Go to 98Lite page to get it. Make sure you read all the info carefully before using it.

Personally I reccomend you buy 98Lite and use   the 98Lite Micro installer for gaming.

I've been running the full version of 98Lite for 6 months with very few Windows faults during this time.

I normally format and reinstall Windows every 3 months because it slows down and starts screwing up but haven't needed to since I have used 98 Micro, good stuff IMO.

Funked check your private messages for some additional info on 98Lite.

Yeah I ran that IEradicator but it porked Access and Outlook.  Thanks though.    :)
I had to reinstall Win 2000 (pretty fast and easy) and then it was back to normal.

I found another way to do what I was trying to do.  www.browserlock.com
