There are two spots on the Tiger that will kill it in one shot every time. One is behind the forward main spur gear of the track and the other is the cupola ring. I dont know if it should work that way (or not) but it does. I havent tried it with the m8.

EDIT: I tried it with the M8 and even at 100 yards I could not kill a Tiger from any angle.

321BAR, is it unreasonable for people who want to play a combat sim to work on their recognition skills? Before I even started playing, I was reading the help page.

You never give up do you?  No, a person doesn't have to work on their recognition skills if they don't want too, what does it matter how they choose to play?  If they want to be good, it would probably help to know.  But you said that someone who can't tell the difference between the two shouldn't even be GVing.

And I amended that stament in another post. It wouldn't let me edit by the time I got on again. I think that the ability to tell tanks apart from one another is essential for GV'ing. Without it, you will try to take on tanks you would do better flanking.

Essential for "good" GVing maybe, but not essential to GV in general.

you have no business tanking if you can't tell an M8 from an firefly.

For someone that had to ask what rudders do and how to use them in combat, you really shouldn't be telling someone the shouldn't drive a tank if they can't recognize another tank.

I still work the flaps and throttle in combat, just not the rudder. I never learned how to do it, and what it DOES.

So close, yet so far. Can anyone tell me how to use rudder in combat (when to use it, and the exact steps if its rather complicated)?

Looks like you skipped the part in the help pages about how to fly an airplane.

Nemesis, this is the point you need to cease and desist.  This thread is looking very similar to many others where you've gone too far.  You have a habit of saying "I was wrong... BUT," "you're right... BUT," "I said this... BUT."

The BUT stops here.  :P

Hmmmm... ack-ack, did you notice I admited I had crossed the line there? And I don't see what rudders have to do with GV combat. I admit I'm not a great pilot, but I know GV's pretty well.

And Jayhawk, I suppose you are right (about both the recognition issue, and it being time to stop).

Why did I know the point would be completely lost on you?  You're right, rudders have nothing to do with GV combat but everything to do with the point I was making.

The first step is recognition, hopefully you'll find the smarts to complete the 2nd step.

And you missed my point ack-ack; don't bring up whats already settled.

Chalenge, I meant actuall rudders like on a plane. The 'rudder' on a GV, and the rudder of a plane are only the same in the sense that we have the same name for them. I mean on a tank, its not even a physical thing, its just a name we've given to the actions of the driver opperating under orders of the tank commander.

Not to worry. I have been guilty of not spelling things out myself. Sometimes its a trap for people unfamiliar with the subject and other times its just laziness.  :D
