We have never had analog zoom controls. The head movements do not have any analog commands either. All those commands are buttons.
It puzzles me to read this Skuzzy. Many years ago I played around with mapping my head movements to different axes on my CH throttle quadrant (6 levers, was deciding what to use them for).
I also currently use one throttle for my zoom and have for some time.
I checked and it appears they are all still available:
The thing about mapping any head movement (say you JUST want to have a lever that moves your head up or down) is that it locks the other head directions and you lose some functionality. It's like you map up and down, but then the keys for left right front and back no longer work. This was what made me not use it (way back). I admit I don't know if that's changed or not but from what I'm reading it seems to be the same.
However, they are analog inputs you can map to an axis.
