Blizzard doesn't do DRM. They do unique registry numbers that pretty much makes games impossible to resell.
They did do that recent forum deal where they were going to require you to post under your real name, but they backed off of that on the WoW forums at least. I don't know about the Starcraft forums.
I thought Skuzzy was saying he was afraid of being infected and being unable to quit playing. Which is a legitimate fear given Blizzard's past RTS games.
It should be easy enough to find out ahead of time what, if any, DRM is included when the Starcraft2 reviews start coming out. I expect it to be similar to World of Warcraft... in that you get a long code that you have to enter and that registers the software under your username. Which I hope doesn't mean you have to be online to play in single player mode, but it might.
Its interesting that Skuzzy didn't play Starcraft 1, given how liberal their DRM, if you can even call it that, was. With the spawned copies and all, it made it very easy to take your PC to a friend's house who didn't have the game and legally play against them. Did that many times.
All that said, I'm taking Calc 2 this summer and don't want to get wrapped up in a game I potentially can't put down until my class is over. So in a couple weeks I'll have time to read some reviews and if they are positive, I'll buy it, then have 3 weeks to plow through the game until the fall semester starts.
