I have a Mitsumi KFK-EB9HY that is my favorite keyboard. I know what you're thinking, "lol cheap Asian-brand crap keyboard." The thing is, for my old job that I worked for 9 years, I ordered many different <$20 keyboards for our office PCs, and this one was (imo) the best of them all. Good key press and the key layout that I like, not too loud (I don't like the classic IBM keyboards, too noisy and the keystroke is too long, had to use them at my high school). Best of all, they don't break. When I left my job, all of them that I ordered over the years were still working. Granted, that wasn't 25 years of not breaking, just at most 9 years for the oldest ones, but that's still a good indication of quality.
A few years ago they stopped making them (I'm not sure who was the real manufacturer, there were a few clones of the same basic keyboard by different brands with slightly different features out there). I went back to ordering many of the different keyboards out there from Newegg for new PCs at my old job, and I never could find one as good as that Mitsumi. My fear is that I'll one day break the one I'm typing on now that I bought for myself and I'll not be able to replace it.
And oh yeah, the key labels are painted on, but so far only the "D" key has worn off. For MMORPGs and FPSs I use "SDFC" instead of the default keys, with D being the "run forward" key, and apparently that's the only one that I press enough to wear off the label.
