My apologies but MoH Allied Assault ran with two add on packs and in my opinion was just as good as the original 1999. Underground was exceptionally good also. And i'm sorry to say this but if there were no improvements but just the same code with new eye candy then what was the difference between CoD1 CoD2 and CoD3? CoD5 was far too unrealistic for my liking. Rising Sun was a great game also, it was different (even somewhat new compared to the others) although it was a console MoH. European Assault could have been MUCH better than it was i'll admit, but the style of gameplay was great even if it seemed like the kills were taken in a crappy hitbox manner. Airborne was terrible, could have been much more than it was but they chose to make small respawnable maps for single player with German Supertroopers with Mg42s on super flak towers that were 5 times as big as the real ones.
But MoH 1999, MoH Underground, Allied Assault with squeak expansions, Rising Sun, and definitely Pacific Assault were all top of the line. (speaking of PA, what do you mean two headshots? i still play it and i never have a problem with it. One shot one kill for the head.)

And don't deny one bit that the soundtracks for MoH have one upped BF and CoD all along...

Honestly, Medal of Honor PA was probably the most interesting game I've ever played (since I don't really play that much online except AH.) story wise. When I first got it, I was able to play it again and again, and I still can. I lost my old copy and have been looking to get a new one as well. If I had it, I'd probably play it again as well.
No one knows what the future may bring.

That tells me you played the console crap and never experienced the hardcore multiplayer on dedicated servers, the PC version never had expansion packs for MoHAA. Aside from the horrendous hitbox system, the character controls and movement sucked. In single player, all of the titles were ok if all you were looking to do was frag some stupid AI. A decent player could run through the entire single player mode in 8-12 hours on full hardcore.

If you had played PC multi-player on dedicated servers, you would have seen the differences in quality between CoD 1 and 2 and MoHAA/BT/PA/AB. When CoD was released, even though it needed a couple of patch updates right out of the box, MoH bit the dust. New game modes, better graphics, better weapons system, better character movements, etc... I can't comment on CoD3, since I skipped it. From what I've heard, according to some old buddy gamers it sucked wind. CoDMW is just lame, every noob gets a machine gun and a nade launcher. CoDWaW isn't bad mulitiplayer, but the maps are small and nobody wants to play Japanese.

part 1...i OWN the expansions...
part 2... i agree here up until Pacific Assault. I loved it on single player and it was ok on multiplayer BUT it's understandable for multiplayer how terrible it is compared to CoD. The new age MoH is the only chance they have on bringing Multiplayer back.
part 3... If IW made CoD3 it would have been just as good as CoD1 and 2. CoDMW is built that way because LMGs are support weaponry, MWII leveled it out better with the MGs and noob tubes. WaW was fun but the single player aspect made me want to kill the creators.

Except MoH EA and Rising Sun i never touched the MoH console games. for CoD i got MWI and II for XBox because of what i heard was going on to the PC servers being unmonitored. The only reason CoD kicked butt all along is because of Infinity Ward. When CoD went to another company for anything, it went downhill immediately.

Agreed. Forgot about Breakthrough and Spearhead being expansions...aka "add-ons".

If MOH is going to have a chance with the mulitplayer pc crowd, it's going to have to beat out the new Red Orchestra.

EA and DICE hit a home run with BF2, BFBC2 for PC was a console port.

BF3 beta soon, this is the game I'm looking forward to playing.

i think console ported means taking a great PC game and dumbing the features down for the consoles limited control capabilities and graphics's, CPU power, face it consoles don't have the speed or graphics's of great top end PCs so now they write the games for consoles and give the PC gamer the same version, which most likely will suck, it seems like the game makers are going the console route sense theres greater money in selling console games than PC only versions, the MOH beta was just like CoDMW2 and BFBC2 rolled into one, small maps to where your forced down killing zones, just another run and gun, nade and tubefest, ill stick with BFBC2 till BC3 comes out, but it looks like they will be doing beta testing BC3 on Xbox first so that don't look good for a PC version with administrator rights for our own servers like with the original Moh and CoD series before it went to the consoles

ahh... in the end i loved CoD style gameplay but MoH probably will have more maps that are larger later on since this is beta just like all games... In the end ill buy the game to see how it is

dont forget slipknot...

2nd. EA Games has always hit paydirt with good MoH games. ignore the PSP versions and any console versions (except Rising Sun) and you have the best war game series. It can rival CoD easily. Since 1999 MoH games have proven time and time that they know how to build a great game. MoH Airborne is the only one out of the PC series that i had a problem with. Pacific Assault, Rising Sun, Allied Assault, Underground, the Original, even European Assault was good. Their music scores and soundtracks have put beauty into warfare in many places and times. Hopefully they get the MoH music on the dot for this new age MoH. (i hope that a modern version of MoH hits as big as CoD 4 and 6 did). I've noticed that the gameplay for 2010 MoH will be a mix of CoD and BF2 with a MoH twist. I seriously cant wait. IGN gave it perfect score.

Their newer stuff is still SIC!

MoH Airborne was horrible.  By far the worst WW2 FPS that I have purchased since its release in 2007.
