Aviation Aprreciation Day @ Beaver County Airport (KBVI)

Tomorrow is the Third Annual Aviation Appreciation Day and Fly in hosted by Air Heritage Inc. at the Beaver County Airport (KBVI). We welcome anyone in the Western PA, Eastern Ohio or West Virginia areas to come and enjoy the day with us. Beaver County Airport is about a half hours drive from downtown Pittsburgh, PA and is just 10 miles from the PA/OHIO boarder off of Route 51.

Aviation Appreciation Day and fly in
Where: Beaver County Airport (KBVI)
Date: August 7th, 2010 (rain day is the 8th)
Time: 8:00AM-4:00PM
Events/Attractions: Fly-in, Car Cruise, Kiddy rides in a Space Shuttle or Blue Angel, Static Displays, breakfast/lunch, Bake Sale
Admission: FREE

* Static Displays: Fairchild C-123K “Thunder Pig”, Lockheed F-15A Eagle, T-3 provost, Grumman OV-1D Mohawk, Boeing Sterman (multiple), Fairchild F24 (under restoration inside AH’s Hangar),  North American T-28 Trojan (under restoration inside AH’s Hangar),   Beech T-34 Mentor (under restoration inside AH’s Hangar), ¾ scale P-51D and F4U, Moore Aviation trainer (either a C172 or Piper Arrow/Warrior), Fouga Magister Jets and more
* Attractions: Tour the Air Heritage Museum, Tour Air Heritage Hangar, Tour the Airport, Kiddy Rides available on either our Space Shuttle or Blue Angel F-18, C-123K tours
* Breakfast/Lunch:   Breakfast served 8:30AM-11:30AM; lunch served 12:00PM-4:00PM. Both Served by Beaver County EAA Chapter 68 in Air Heritage Hangar. Price is unknown for either servings (EAA didn't tell us)(I’m almost positive that if you fly in you get one free meal, either breakfast or lunch. It was like that last year at least)
* Bake Sale
* Car Parking located near hangar, Aircraft parking located on our ramp in front of hangar

If you fly in just request directions from the tower, our hangar is at the very end of taxiway Charlie if you have charts. Also our runway is 4500ft long and two FBO's are located on the airport with both Avgas and Jet A available.
