The Army PVT manning case
« on: August 09, 2010, 02:10:05 PM »
I just read a NY Times article on this bozo - which tried to paint him as a kid from a broken home, etc, etc. Ok, so he had it rough and got teased by some Brit kids, descended into the hacker culture and went gay.

Who gives a toejam? He's done more damage to the intel capabilities of this nation and compromised methods and sources then Aldric Ames or even Robert Hansen.

Despite his poor and sad childhood(boohoo) still doesnt excuse what he did. I would consider it treason. The bottom line is, he is still subject to the UCMJ as well as al the national security laws he broke.

Agreed - still teason, and the NYT forgetting that fact. If this were still the Cold War I can't believe this consersation piece would be so flippant.

Excuses, excuses.  I bet good money we could find more than one fine patriotic example today that came from a similar background and that enjoys the same off-duty activities and lifestyle as Pvt Bozo but that has no desire to betray our country or kill inocents over something as petty as an ego or money.  Hang the traitor.

wow oprah was a hooker? no wonder she is in daytime tv now, the way she looks there is no way she could have made a living before
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

Not everything can be blamed on "upbringing".  Hanoi-Jane had everything anyone could want growing up and look how she turned out.    She betrays her country and ends up owning half of Montana.
