Are you on crack?   The 38 doesn't have two elevators!   Next time, at least research your whine!

Take it easy Masherbrum. There appears to be a bug in the damage model on the P-38 elevator. Soulyss posted in the bug reports forum that he thinks it's tied to the horizontal stabs, so if you lose 1 side you lose 1/2 of the elevator.

When a P38 gets hit in the tail you get a PW.  :noid

I think all the PW come from the big heads us B-38 pile-its have, it sticks out around the sides of the pilot armor. :D

that is something I have not noticed at all.  Honestly, what SERaider is describing isn't a bug at all.

I don't often fly the 38 but I have noticed it once...thought it was just a fluke. Dunno, can't say for sure...  :headscratch:

I don't know if it a bug or not, but you can now lose half the horizontal stab just like in other planes.  It's a little strange looking back and see half of the beam between the tails missing and the other half not attached in the middle.  Looks like the whole thing would just come off in a slight breeze.  :)

before you think me to be on crack, I suggest you notice who I quoted and why I made the request, which included all the information you think I'm a fool to not notice. I had also reported this as a bug (the half elevator). So here, let me quote someone else who apparently doesn't do any research before they make a fool of themselves.

Like I said, I really don't think it's a bug.  I think it's a byproduct of the new damage model in that before it was all or nothing and now we have some varying degrees of damage.  Now the elevators can be damaged whereas in the past it would have been completely destroyed, so it's basically treated as two seperate objects for the damage model.  Before the change to the damage list, when we received the updated damage model it did list elevators twice to account how they are now treated as two seperate objects but still considered a single elevator.  I hope this made sense.
