Just fixed that errant spawn into the city and added a couple more vehicle spawns between some fields.

Thank you,

None of my squad errored out last night and we all played for hours on that map. Last Friday we all errored at least once but many of us at 20-30 minutes. Those spawns must be paved with gaming goodness... :)

Just had an aceshigh.exe unrecoverable error. Before closing it down I checked taskmanager. AcesHigh.exe was at 1.6G of memory, 4.8G page faults but only 333 handles. So it'sot a memory leak in that sense. I'm going back into the game but will tag it with a process monitor in case it errors again. The error happened during a peak VOX event while I was looking into the sun.

BlueLW Mindnao map.

I crashed in Blue on Mindnao after the map update.

I only had two CTDs today in scenario. I saw the graphical problem Del mentioned in this post for the first time as well.

The terrain began to have the white patches like this.

(Image removed from quote.)

Then the patches slowly resolved and returned to regular terrain while Cactus disco'd next to me, i was as if whatever was causing it let me skip by that time. Normally, those patches always precede a CTD.

A bunch of us had the CTD bug in the scenario event today. Interestingly, almost all the CTDs happened at the same time.

I know you're working on the problem but it makes long flights in a scenario comparable to the efforts of Sisyphus (as Galland would say).

When you gents get your aceshigh.exe unrecoverable errors, are any of you getting a DrWatson dump or a LiveKernal Watchdog mini dump? Sometimes I do get these when the game crashes. The primary culprits in each case are TDR's involving nvlddmkm.sys and dxgkrnl.sys. Since my last mini dump was on the 19th and refrenced these two again, I've since updated to the newest NVIDIA drivers for my GTX275 258.96.

Most of the time when these exe errors happen I'm looking into the sun during a peak sound and or VOX event.

Before the Miles system was added I might go several months before getting a game lock up under these conditions. A historical point. This kind of lockup has followed me with the game since 2002 across 3 PC with ATI and NVIDIA video cards and serveral different makes of SB soundcards and a USB headset. Up untill the Miles system the lockup always happend while firing ships 5 and 8 inch guns for 10 to 30 minutes and looking into the sun.

I'm getting boots from the game but my screen just seems to freeze.  I don't get any see-through mountains or such...just an "Aces High has Stopped Responding" error message after I bring up the task manager.

You are running the default sound driver, instead of the native sound card driver.  Results will be unpredictable with that driver from Microsoft.

This is not related to the Windows 7 64 bit problem we are trying to address.

Had screen go white again last night. Has been a few days since the last one, mostly out of frustration and me not logging in. It went white, though, right after I exited Blue and was had the clipboard come up. Received same error I saw once before before entire system locked up. It was late and I didn't write it down, but it was along the lines of aceshigh.exe stopped responding. No further details because while the screen is white and I get the error, I've already been locked out of the PC until reboot... More often I just go white and that's it, reboot time.

System settings are still as I first posted them.

Folks, please only post in this thiread if your computer is running Windows 7 64 bit or Vista 64 bit.

There is something that has happened, the plast few days, related to those operating systems which is manifesting as a crash bug in the game.

If you are running either of the above operating systems, I would like to know what services (if any) you have disabled in them and whether of not you are having game crash issues.

I posted my information because of the above post.  I do not have a dedicated sound card but I do have an onboard sound (Sound Max by Analog devices) but it will not see my USB Logitech headsets...I have no choice but to use  the windows drivers for the time being.  Any suggestions short of buying a dedicated sound card?

Why do you have to use the Microsoft default drivers?  There are native sound card drivers for 'Sound Max' devices.

Are you sure you have the 64bit version of Vista installed?  DXDIAG is not showing that.

At any rate, you have to install the native sound card drivers or the results really are not helpful as the default Microsoft drivers are not meant to be used by games.

System information says 64 bit operating system.... I also checked the Vista installation disk and it says that "this disk contains 64 bit software only"....

OK Skuzzy, how about you start a new thread with a list of symptoms, along with an email address that people can contact you at if they are experiencing all of these symptoms?  Or better yet, have a form on the website that people can fill out (and cut/paste their DXDIAG info into) and click send so that you can receive it in a nice, neat format.

Then, when you get an idea of what might be causing this, start a new thread for people to post into if they have what you think is causing this, but aren't having problems?

Make any sense?

I just see a lot of people randomly posting here every time they experience a system crash or disconnect, and it's quite obvious that a bunch of them aren't related to what you guys are looking for.

Come on people... take the time to read this thread and see if the problems you're experiencing match what they are looking for.  Don't just add a post here because your computer crashed once, or if you aren't experiencing the same symptoms... if that's the case, then send them an email... OR start a new thread.
