oh no the LA is one of the best runners, and sad to say most use it that way, but those in the "know" understand it is one of the greatest fighters in game.

But "those" are far and few between.

And what way is that? I've always just stayed fast, and used the good manuverability to get a shot. Extend far enough that I can reverse without getting ventilated, and then repeat. Never really TnB with it since theres always a niki, hurri, or some other plane that out turns me in the furball.

I haven't seen a decent La7 stick since Shane quit.

Aggressively, good use of the vertical, and knowing how to stall fight in it is a huge plus.

 :cry

There was time when I was pretty deadly in the La-La. I flew it almost exclusively for a year. Since Shane stopped playing, the sight of a La-7 brings laughter rather than ... "I wonder if that's Shane".

I can still open up a can of whoop bellybutton in it occasionally ... I mainly use it now for an NOE spoiler. Take off like a bat out of hell on the deck ... find the goon(s) and kill them and then come back and chew up the remaining attackers (usually 110s).

Ok, lets come to a compromise. Since we can't have a P-38K or P-51H, we'll cut them in half and see what we get. P-38K + P-51H = P-38H

Sound good to everybody?

no objections here

And that would be true of almost any fighter in the game.

The LA will easily out maneuver a n1k, or hurri, it is great at knife fighting, tight scissors, get the crossing shot, if ya miss grab some speed and then climb, The LA is one of the baddest planes in game, it is a waist to just use it in the BnZ style, yes it is great for that, and if there are huge number disadvantage to ya then keep it fast, if ya don't want to die, but me I would rather fight the numbers and see exactly what the plane can do. keep it under 10 k and very few planes can touch it.

but it does not matter how great the plane is, it will only do what the pilot tells it to do, so if they don't understand ACM.....well you get me point?

I dont know, there are at least that many who truly like to fight, but ya the MA's are full of  :headscratch:

F4F-4

Handling = 9/10

Speed = 10/10 in a dive

Armament = 4/10 or 10/10 if you know how to fly it.

Climb = 6/10

Survival = 8/10

Sex apeal = 10/10

I hate it when you run into one of these guys that use it like this...by the time you realize they are going to fight you instead of the usual hit and run and high angle front deflection shot fight :D..you are fighting to get on an equal standing...For me that is...some of you others might not have trouble

*edit*  I should add here that I don't hate it, I actually like it but hate the fact that I just merged for a HO and they are already setting for the fight....love the fight

Your right ... if you merge with an La-7 and it doesn't try to HO you, that's your first sign. Then when you look back and it's not extending at full speed ... tighten your seat belts and get your game on cause your in for a fight.

you are thinking less of yourself skillset or being humble....unless you just quit Hoing...if you have been fighting for the shot and not the HO chances are you are better then 97.764.885.578.86% of the MA
