Dang it Oak I don't want to get serious but you're forcing me into it.
You are ABSOLUTELY correct. I am much more angry about it than I want to admit. The problem is that they are LEGALLY allowed to do so. Are we at war with Islam? My opinion is no. Are we at war with people who hide behind a religion and want the entire world to kneel at their feet? Yes. The people who chose and choose to make war on us and other nations who do not embrace their point of view need to be brought to justice. I've read the Koran and I've seen how it can be interpreted that if you're not a practicing member of their 'faith' then they can intellectualize their actions however wrong it can be to our points of view. Do I think these people need to be brought to justice? Nope.. they need to be eradicated with extreme prejudice.
The problem is that they know for a fact that they can't stand up to our armed forces. Put an army on the field against the US and whoever decides to join us for the award for the best supporting actress and you WILL get the crap kicked out of you if the President even considers himself or *shudder* herself a leader of a free nation. Sadly that day will never come. Would I absolutely LOVE it if we went to the Middle East and anywhere these fanatics consider home, root them out, and dispose of them? Sure thing. The problem, in my eyes at least, is that we are SO concerned with the court of world opinion that we allow our hands to be tied and limit our objectives to 'strategic targets'.
Screw that I say. When the first Private steps off of whatever mode of transportation he or she's on I want our adversaries going 'whoops we done screwed up'.
Of course that's just my opinion others may disagree.
Unfortunately we have to adhere to the law and not common sense these days.
