OK lets start with the disclaimer....I am American born, white anglo-saxon christian by heritage. so I'm not happy about what some fanatics have done to MY people either.
but i have a question as a counterpoint to this discussion, how many christian/Jewish based Church's have been built upon the land that once was considered holy or sacred by another people? how many of our modern Church's and cathedrals were erected to cover the foot print once left by those who named another god?
in my heart i feel the anger, but in my head i find the truth.......let him without sin be first to cast a stone! we cannot now be angered by the actions of others when we ourselves have committed the same and many worse transgressions against others.
one more point i should mention, people of many religions died on 9/11, and many of those that died that day were (obviously not including those that committed the crimes) were of the Muslim persuasion.
i do not personally care for the Islamic religion, but i am also not born of Muslim blood. i did, a long time ago, read the Koran, i found it a beautiful work of literature, but not something that would capture my heart and soul. but as a counter point to that statement i am born of christian blood and have read the bible and many other books related to the history of Christianity, but still care not at all for any type of organized establishment that tells me how or who to call god.
if you would hate an entire people for the actions of a very limited few then you have no reason to complain about or be angered by the actions of those who retaliate against us for what WE as Americans, Christians and whites have done to all other races creeds and cultures, including but not limited to the actions of those terrorist on 9/11.
you are a hypocrite if you make demands for revenge against those you should first be seeking redemption from.
