The original discussion was about A mosque being built near the World Trade Center.
I guess you can call that an attack on the military also, But it still serves no strategic or tactical advantage to hijack CIVILIAN aircraft and fly them into buildings just to kill CIVILIANS. They didnt go after the US hierarchy, they went after everyday average workers on a random working day.
They didnt try to take out industry or our military assets, their plan was to kill as many people as possible. Blatantly kill as many CIVILIANS as possible.
See where I'm getting at?
No tactical or strategic advantage. It wasnt an attack, It was a blatent act of terror that served no purpose other than to kill people.
You're wrong again in this thread. The hell the WTC wasn't a "strategic target" for the hijackers!!
The intent was simple, try and disrupt the World Economy. They damn near succeeded. However, they did not target only "Americans". Citizens of over 90 countries lost their lives in the attacks. It seems the "other countries" get lost in shuffle in 99% of the conversations relating to 9/11.
I almost lost a cousin in the Pentagon attack. Her original office was consumed by the nose of the plane, not a missile. A USMC guard, risked a Courts Martial, to retrieve her purse from her meeting room (In another wing until that wing's construction was complete) so she could get her cell phone.
You are obviously too young to be replying to a lot of these threads.
