nem... ive hit countless GVs in the game while on the move. the only GV i have a problem doing this with is the stupid tiger. And that was basically a heavily armored mobile gun platform :lol waitttt....all of them are

Sometimes I wonder why people think the tiger is so great. I seen a guy take one into town the other day to defend. I sneaked up behind him with my T3485 and blew him away while he was still trying to turn that slow turret around on me.. They are great at defending v-bases at long range... Just dont bring one to town. There are too many directions for other to sneak up on them and kill them before they can turn that slow turret around..

Last time I jumped into a Tiger about 5 months ago in the MW arena, I used it to defend our town that was being attacked by the Knights.  I parked my tank on the corner of the town facing the most likely approach from the spawn point and just sat there with my engine off listening for approaching enemy GVs.  By the time I towered out of my tank because the attack was over, I had 10 or 12 kills.  The only time any of the enemy GVs got behind me was an M8 that was going to fast for to hit while he was moving but he only lasted until the time it took me to move my turret rearward and kill him.

I'm actually a pretty good GV'er stokes, just can't hit a target moving while I'm moving as well. Actually, thats not entirely true; I can do it on a somewhat regular basis when there is little deflection.

Suprised no one caught on to the fact that you were in a good spot and needed to be flanked. That or get Dr7 and his magic firefly to up.

That the only way I prefer a Tiger or will spend the perks is if I have a good hiding spot between the spawn and their goal, be it town or base. It's GREAT for those long kill shots without a bunch of bomb****s hanging overhead wanting to brag up killing a tiger, yes I've done it too....  :old:

Your right, I understand, I suck in a P38...well thats not intirley true. I can hit a moving target from D1000 and rip your plane apart before you even see me.

Lol strokes, are you still pissed that you got hoed when BnZing people you said should climb up to fight you?

Clearly a high deflection shot is more difficult than a low deflection shot. I can't make high deflection shots in a fighter, but I manage to land hits in a low deflection shot; the same is true in a tank. Tanks don't have a stream of shells they can guide onto their target, so it would be easier for a fighter in that sense.

The Tiger is an amazing tank when used properly. Where the other tanks tend to shine in up close battles and skirmish warfare, the Tiger is an artillery piece. The sheer mass of the shell it fires means that it can lob a much harder punch than any other tank when out at "falloff" ranges (where the shell has basically entered freefall). The armor is thick but not sloped, therefor it deals with long range "blunt impact" shots better than close range punching shots where something like a T-34 can use the round's kinetic energy to glance it off.

If you can use the graduated marks to range your targets in a Tiger, you're generally too close.

The tiger is my ride. I love the baby to death... in fact, rarely do i ever get killed by a GV while driving one. its usually a dumb P47 or A20 getting the kill on me.

as long as you are outside of the 16 mark in distance the only thing you really have to worry about is the firefly but you need you have frontal armor to the enemy, the 16 mark is really the safe point. even then, some GVs like the T34/76, M4/75, PnzrIV have to get closer than that to kill in the front.

proud to say that this tour i have a 37:2 one being a pnzr's kill on me. tour 126; 17:2 with one death from a 34/85. tour 125; 21:2 with both deaths being aircraft :D you wanna know how to use a tiger? you found your source :P

I fully agree with your comments 321Bar. I think the new town layout isnt good for the tiger. Once your in the town, too many different directions for them to come at you.. My last few tigers kills were of tigers in a town. You are also correct when you said that facing the enemy is the way to go.. A frontal shot on a Tiger is like using  a BB gun.. I go for the rear and sides up close while I am still moving, and he cant turn that turret that fast...Flank around the tiger always...

The Tiger is a world beater at long range. As OOZ said, while some GV's are better for close range and skirmish comabt, the tiger is more of a stand off weapon. Sit back at 2500yds, and pick of the few that are dumb enough to hold still and return fire.

And BAR, the M4(74) isn't really a good example of a tank that needs to get closer, since no frontal shot is possible.
