hey bud. <S> like i said above, there are many more things this game offers in the MAs. you just need to find it. maybe you havent done a few things that seem pointless? like i said, CV capping is a wonderful sortie. 4-8 F4Us above a carrier and sometimes that will allow the furballers to take the base below you.

Just got done doing that 321.  In the end, they overwhelmed us with numbers but it was a blast while it lasted.

ever since i started my squad i have not loved this game any more so with or without the changes. I see the changes to be a chalenge to adapt to. I see the new town to be a strategic defensive perimeter with many choke points. i see the landscape and think to myself, what if?... This is a great game, a great setup, and great flyers. i have never loved it so much.

groundfeeder... if you do not like the way its played by others, use the others' way of playing to your advantage. there's nothing like upping a zero and dogfighting your way to the death or upping a 110 or an F4U1C or 4 to 15-20k and capping a CV group from bombers and suicide fighters. the thrill fuels me and my squaddies. we laugh and have great times. (in fact, my most favorite flights aren't the long bomb runs or escort duties or the furballing or base taking, my favorite sortie is the CV cap... it may not seem like much but it keeps you to the advantage and keeps you having fun and racking kills. Escort duties come a close second to this and 3rd would be GVing) This game is a sandbox man, fly it the way you want to. BE IMAGINATIVE because you hit a roadblock in the gaming and you can go around it. :aok

I've learned that MANY GV tactics can be employed on the ground and many other air tactics in the sky. read up and use them. maybe the leading role is where you need to be?

Gotta tell ya....of all the response i have ever had  :salute yours may be one of the best. no bull.

The general problem i have had, is that i may not want to climb to the sub stratosphere or maybe just dont have the time. I do truly love this game...and have tried to interject new aspects of play into it.
i am just getting beat down by the constant level of arcade feel from it. We all see the red stream-o-death on the maps. but it gets old after awhile!

we used to have choices about what we did in the game, like it or not,......we had them....these choices are dwindling

you have got to heal yourself of this miserable belief that the game owes you fun.  It ows you only a connection to the server.  You have got to make your own fun, your own enjoyment.  If you cant do that then whats the point of complaining?  unless you are having a menstrual cycle you have zero excuse.

the only reason it is dwindling is because people can be narrow minded. you can avoid the ball of red or you can get above it in a pony and pick the crap out of em until you get them mad enough to PM you or call you out on 200 :rofl

Try extending the cap out another 2 miles or so in a rotation. 4 on one side, 4 on the other. you'll be able to respond much more quickly to the threat even if it was 2 and 2.

easy.... reread what i have said in my last two posts. if you dont like what he is saying, then ignore it because its your life and your $15, do what you like. the game does owe you fun but not by handing it to you... you need to search out for it like a friend who owes you money before you get the satisfaction.

well perhaps your right....thank you voice of reason....just need to blow off steam. If those of us didn't voice an opinion about the game, it truly would wither and die. guess it shows we give a crap about it....oh well gonna have a beer and try to relax.........$#it ...out of beer! :furious

Well it sounds like you are getting the short end of the stick and nothing is going to change that.  Select Account Admin and then select Delete Account.  Be bold, be beautiful... and remember:  Dont go away mad, just go away.

I think both you and the game would be better off.

Really, when did this happen.  Give an update version number or something verifiable so that I can go back and fact check, because I think you are up past your nostrils in odoriferous poo.

:rofl  How exactly would you check?  I am sorry I am not able to provide a version number  :lol  Don;t worry though, flying straight and fast to the ack has not changed.  So, despite what you think, it was 4 or 5 years ago?  I don;t remember exactly, but it was after the endless threads about how the 109s and F4Us were not modeled correctly if you want to search for those and get version number to verify  :rofl

I do remember being in the DA with Bighorn after one of the patches and he asked me to try the F4Us.  I remember the reaction from both of us "Holly crap, they can turn now" lol.  As I said, the game became easier at some point.  Flying a 109 or an F4U the way TC was flying them back then took a lot more skill and knowledge of the planes than it takes now.  Had you been dog fighting back then you would not be thinking I am full of it.  You can only talk from your experiences.  I understand that and I remember how our early engagements would end up too, so I know where you are coming from  :aok

I remember they had a flaw in the FM of ALL planes where you could hardly do a mild flat turn in ANYTHING without the wings stalling.  That was back when the game was just out of beta, maybe 2000.  The statement about "making all the planes fly like spits" is pure hyperbole. Also, I've run into a heck of a LOT of people that have played this game just superbly, you needn't flatter yourself as it is nothing to mount on the wall.
