In the sim I flew previously, the BBS had a neat option that let you see, grouped in one place, all the posts from the developers. I've always missed that since coming to AH, since it was a REAL easy way to get a sense of what was going on in the sim without shuffling through all the crud on the boards. And while the AH BBS is weeny baby wah wah when compared with the amount of garbage on the boards at the other sim (for which I'm thankful) and there's not as much of a reason to hate going to the boards, I still missed the "read three posts and you know what if anything has changed with the sim, and/or where the developers think they are heading".
So what I did was bookmark a thread started by each developer, and then I could click on their name, and click the "Show last posts" and voila - I knew what each had posted recently to the boards.
A few weeks ago, I had a brainstorm.
It's even easier to go to your own profile, edit your buddy list, and add each of the developers to it. Then you can very easily see the last posts of each developer by just going to your profile, editing your buddy list again, and clicking each one to bring up their profile, and clicking the "Show the last posts". You don't have to bookmark threads - or remember that Hitech is 44, Pyro is 2, and Skuzzy 1838 so you can easily edit the URL - to navigate to each ones profile so you can get the link. It takes about 30 seconds and you see stuff you might never see - like Hitech's response to the recent changes on page 5 of a thread that has been 4 plus pages of bickering up to that point, and that you otherwise would not be likely to go back into.
Just thought I'd share in case other's here flew the other sim, and missed the same feature. Or didn't, but wanted to replicate it here any way.
