I understand your point corky, but I have to wonder what would have happened if the jeep had seen a 262 for instance, taking off on the runway would it have fired in the reverse situation?

Probably..... both looking for a fight in that instance. Apples and oranges.

This jeep was not close to any base or field. It was obvious what he was doing.

Chose your path.....

That's a whirling pile of contradiction.   :rofl

Grizz had killed something like 40 red guys in 20 minutes, in keeping with my previous analogy, he could afford to stop and take a cooookie break.  Nom. Nom. Nom.

I personally wounldnt have shot the jeep if I was the 262.

Me neither.

'Course, that's mostly because I would have been so worried about plowing into the mountainside that it would be a dead certainty that I would have, and I'm sure that the guy would have filmed it, and I don't think I have deep enough pockets to keep word of the true depths of my dweebishness from getting out  ... ;)

Candy Mountain jeep run.   The thread title said it all.  Candy Mountain runs in AH have always been about doing something silly, whether it be a Val fighter sweep or trying to get jeeps to fly off the mountains.

When I read the thread title I looked in and immediately took the screenshots to be Grizz out having some fun in a jeep.

Nice! That is what I was going for.   :lol

So shoot a jeep and you're the anti-Chirst? There is some serious hypocritical bs going on in this thread. I highly doubt any of you who claim to be offended or the rest jumping on the bandwagon would shed one tear if it was Grizz's jeep. I would bet more than a few  :rofl :rofl :rofl would be posted. But you guys feel free to show your cartoon bellybutton here. :aok

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

when i first started playing this game i was told by a long term player that "if you chose up it expect some else to choose to down it". he stated this in reference to my biotchen about being bombed to pieces after i upped an PT boat in an effort to learn how to launch missiles and aim and fire torpedoes. now where i had chosen to do this was actually over a full sector away from the nearest enemy base or fight. a lone fighter/bomber happened along carrying extra eggs as i was sitting there minding my own business, and pop I'm in the CV P.O.ed that i couldn't be left alone.

my point is that the statement that the long term player made sank in and i realized that this IS a game, that it IS based upon yours/your opponents intended destruction of whatever ride you/your opponent chooses to up. the entire purpose and driving force behind this game is to seek out your adversary in what ever ride he has chosen to take and send him forth with back to the tower to receive his warm cup of coffee and a brandy new nicely polished ride of his choice.

if that is too much for people to handle or understand then those people should return to first person shooters that they can set the difficulty level to wussy on.

had i been in the jeep i would have baited the 262's and hoped to get one of them to auger in while trying to kill me! the bragging rights of killing (not vulching) a 262 while in a jeep would be monumental!! and you could probably make a reasonable bet that that film would definitely have made its way to the BBS.

by the standards alluded to by some in this thread i must call out to enemy bombers on 200 before engaging them, as we all know some of these bomber jockeys will start out 3 sectors back from the lines. what if they have been in the air for more than an hour, should i give them a pass? what about a half hour? how about 15 minutes? is there a reasonable time in which i must engage them after their take off?

you up it ill kill it! i expect the same from anyone who should encounter me out roaming around.

wanna go for a joy ride, well there is a car in the driveway. wanna play a game that is based upon the virtual destruction of you or your opponents ride? well then WELCOME TO ACES HIGH II

The actual time may be a bit off but he did two runs of something like 20 and 21 back to back.

yes.. thats correct..

hey guys.. yall aren't looking at the lining to this grey cloud of jeep parts laying all around candy mountain's eastern face... maybe the guy decided he enjoyed jeep'n so much hes going to go out and buy him a kickass 86 cj7... guy thinks to himself... Hey! I can go 4-wheeling in THIS thing and not have a random me262 fly by and fill my gas tank with 30mms...  I mean, I can go jeep'n for real! I can find my own mountains to climb.. I don't have to worry about falling through a hole you can't see toward china.. well, maybe worry about it a little.. pretty soon he meets other jeep'rs and is going on jeep trips with real folk! First trail is a 3 terrace high climb right infront of him and he thinks.. wtf?? noway i can do that!! Then, the jeep infront of him powers over and he says to himself, well.. if that guy did it.. so can I! His journey has just begun!

Sure, I understand exactly what everyone is saying.

Corky has a very valid point and one that would improve the gameplay and community attitude, there is no doubt.

But it's happened already, if we can all have a laugh about it and take Corky's message on board.
The funny part is that Grizz made us think it would be some mad hatter's tea party in jeeps on a mountain which we've seen many times, when really it was an evil muppet death cruiser advertisment. Being tricked harmlessly is funny.
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

Yeah, I guess you guys operate on a higher plane where the true meaning of killing a pretend jeep in a video game leads to the path of the darkside. I'm glad I don't get it.

1. Amanda hops on a swing and starts swinging.
2. Joey walks up to Amanda and knocks her off the swing.
3. Amanda cries.
4. Joey gets on swing and starts laughing. Joey pwned Amanda.

That oddly described our sortie the other night over some poor Rookie base.
